Do y'all still talk trash at the start of every game where the loser has to post to social media about who scored the most?

Or do y'all just lace 'em up and go play?

Unfortunately it's mainly the same scripted stuff through the year when you meet him. I've played them 3 times thus far and they've said the same words all the time along with a bet on social media

I actually like having a story to the mode but at least make it so it makes sense. If I'm top 5 pick, I shouldn't be coming off the bench, I should be starting from day one. If I'm a later round pick it might make more sense to start on the bench and then work my way into the rotation. Also, the "score 10 straight points" goals are just stupid. What if I'm a pass first pg or a defensive center? The goals need to be in line with your play style.

Otto Porter was pick #3 for my wizards and doesn't start, nor would he have started on day 1 even if he had been healthy thru training camp. So top 5 picks don't always start day 1.

But I definitely agree with those goals. I am a pass first pg and HATE when I've been told to score 10 straight. It actually takes me out of rhythm. I've just started saying "screw it, I'm trying to win coach, not prove I'm a star" and make the right basketball play on my next possession.

Man... this scripted MyCareer crap is so annoying. I need to vent a minute.

So I'm a PF on the Bobcats. 77 overall. We're playign the Mavericks. It's ana way game. At Half Time, we are winning by 20 points. TWENTY EFFING POINTS!

Coach takes me out at half time. I don't get back into the game until 11:46 in the 4th quarter. And we're down by 13. The Mavs went on a 40-9 run in the 3rd quarter or something. Ok whatever, I play the best i can. I get rebounds. I get putbacks. I get my shots. I get us to within 5-6 points multiple times. the closest we ever got was to within 3. NOONE ON MY TEAM WILL SHOOT! My teammates are masters of pump-faking. That's all they do. If I'm in the play and I pass to them, they will pump fake, then run around a second and pass it. Even if I don't touch the ball, they wait as long as possible to do something dumb. We could have easily won the game if someone would have shot a damn 3 pointer.

At the end of the game, I had 23 points or so, 15 or so rebounds, (including about 6-7 offensive ones) 2 assists, 2 blocks, a steal... I was doing all I could. Naturally the reporter asks something dumb and i gave the most honest answer I could. (it was an embarrassing game or something.)

Afterwards, I'm called to coach's office, and he tells me he put me in the game to step up and i failed. I got pissed and told him it wasn't my fault. and if i had mroe minutes we'd win more. he said he's lowering my minutes because he was wrong about me.

ok so... we're winning by 20, he benches me for an entire quarter, and the pieces of trash on my team create a 33 point turnaround in the wrong direction. Then when we can't close the game out, it's my fault. You know coach? Kiss my power forward ***!

And to make matters worse? The very next game, against the 76's I play for a bit and am subbed out. When I get back in, I have a dynamic goal of "Thaddeus Young is taking you to school. score more points than him." I checked the stats. He had 12 points. Not a single one had been against me.

I just turned my damn PS4 off. This crap is infuriating. The story overall is interesting, but my god it doesn't make any damn sense sometimes. Maybe Coach can look over his "film" and realize me on the bench = a 40-9 quarter or whatever, then notice our craptastic record (losing by a lot lolololol) and put 2 and 2 together and discover that our team is complete crap and I'm the only one performing anywhere near decently.

end rant. Sorry guys. just had to get that off my chest.:\

The actual gameplay isnt scripted though. Ive played through thay scenario three times already.First time was with the 76ers and I forgot who it was against. But I remember we never had a lead the whole game but we were always between 5-10 points. I get subbed in the beginning of the 4th when I get the dynamic goal from coach but we ended up losing by 4. Coach was mad and I apologized. 2nd time was with the Pelicans and we got straight up annihilated and blown out. It waa embarassing and I was pissed at my teammates kinda like how your game turned out. This current my career where Im a SG for the Cavs we played the Spurs and blew them out. Tiago Splitter and Leonard fouled out, we were hitting threes left and right while they bricked all their 3s and they even missed all their free throws in the 2nd quarter where I heard commentary I never heard before about how embarassing it is that they missed all their free throws. We had a great game and afterwards Mike Brown tells me how proud he is of how I steppes up with extra minutes and to expect to see more playing time even though he lied in none of thr scenarios did I ever see a minutes decrease or increase. I play on superstar simulation btw. Hall of Fame has way too much cheese for me.

Is there any way to dictate where you may be drafter? I'm playing as a 6'11 centre. I'd like to go to the celtics or thunder. I've played through the showcase three times, and the teams that have shown interest in me already have established big men. I've been interviewed and drafted by the following:
Timberwolves - they have pekovic
76ers - hawes and noël
Hawks - horford
Jazz - kanter
Bucks - they are rubbish

When I played poorly and dropped out of the lottery I would have thought the celtics or thunder would have jumped. But they passed and the hawks took me with pick 18.

If I can't dictate then I'll just stick with my timberwolves play, eventually usurp pekovic from the starting lineup and force him to the bench and build a tandem with K Love. I don't like that though, since pek is pretty good and in his prime.

Try duplicating what you did to fall out of the lottery,

But this time, choose the hawks as the team you would like to play with. I've noticed that team will never draft you.

I'm a pass first pg, and wanted to play with the bucks. The daggone jazz KEPT drafting me till I told my agent that I wanted to play with them. Then I tanked the interviews and voila! The bucks draft me

In my pre-patch #3 MC, 3 ptr SF is now rated 76, and we're now rolling as NOLA takes #4th in WC almost a week b4 AS break.

I tried creating an 3ptr SG, bought the 15,000 VC (from the $10 free that I got from buying PS4) and assigned almost +10 in most of my stats and entering the Rookie showdown with 74 rating.

I got drafted by the Blazers. Two teams interviewed me b4 draft, the Suns and Pistons, both i turned down. Now Blazers is 5-1 at the start of the Conference and Im doing great. So let see whom will i finish in MC, the one in NOLA or with Blazers.

I dont plan to maximize my player, trying to stay from 78-82 ratings in both O and D.

Got my first 'standing dunk'.. or any dunk whatsoever with my 7'1 Center in Park just now I've got that up to an 80 .. it just happened out of the blue, never expected it since he doesn't dunk.. in a 2x2 game

im not sure whats going on but i keep getting drafted ahead of Ellis now when i do better in the showcase and the Kings took me....WHY? they got cousins already smh!! time to restart over

Try and get to the suns, its the best experience I had playing as a Center. I have tried different saves on kings, 76ers, jazz, timberwolves and trailblazers and by far suns have been most fun playing as a center. Dragic and bledsoe are great and feed you ball a lot and great with pick n roll.

Try and get to the suns, its the best experience I had playing as a Center. I have tried different saves on kings, 76ers, jazz, timberwolves and trailblazers and by far suns have been most fun playing as a center. Dragic and bledsoe are great and feed you ball a lot and great with pick n roll.

Not in my experience at all i hated playing with them with my C they would just chuck shots up especially in a pick and roll

My quest to get drafted by a more appropriate team continues. Had another poor showing in the showcase, got interviews with New Orleans and Atlanta. The weird thing was that the Atlanta didn't give me an outright "I don't want to play with you" option.

Also, has anyone been drafted by a team that didn't interview you? I have a feeling it doesn't happen.

It does. My 1st career I tanked interviews with the Jazz and I think Bobcats. Got drafted by the Blazers. My 2nd one I tanked the Jazz and nailed the Bulls interview, got drafted one ahead of the Bulls by the Cavs. I was pissed. Those were both before patch 3 though.

Yeah it is very annoying, I used to have two different MyCareers SG and a Center going but I can only deal with one this year cause your going to go through the exact same things just on a different team....and you can't skip pass the cut scenes.

Screw it. I'm going to settle for the jazz. Even though the mavs picked Ellis I'm just glad he didn't go to the thunder. I figure I can grow with the jazz, eventually push kanter to the bench and then potentially seek a trade to a contender if I feel like it.

And I just couldn't go through another draft with that imbecile saying "the New Orleans pelicans. Yes. The New Orleans pelicans." Drove me mental.
