2nd meeting with sleazeball agent.. with all the hours of work on the game.. 150,000 man hours they say? Couldn't they try and make the bribe watch look better? Pretty sure I'll decline his offer when it finally comes, whenever that happens.

Today I got traded to the San Antonio Spurs who I picked as my favorite team from the Cleveland Cavaliers after I requested that they trade Kyrie Irving. So let me explain the full process.

MANIPULATING YOUR GM TO TRADE YOU TO THE TEAM OF YOUR CHOOSING

      1. After the rookie showcase pick youre favorite team. Make absolutely sure you want to go to this team because there is no way to change your mind or change teams as you will be traded to this team after this process. You dont want to waste 40 games trying to get to a team to then realize you want to go elsewhere so there is only one option. Youre not asking for a trade so there is no picking options or picking 3 teams. So keep all of this in mind. You only pick 1 team prior to draft interviews. This is the key to the whole process.

      2. You must answer all interview questions attempting to be a good teammate and in all cutscene scenarios choose the options that increase your teammate chemistry. Wear the clown nose, stand up for your teammates, get ejected, carry your teammates luggage, etc.

      3. Keep a good relationship with your GM, you dont want to be traded prematurely.

      4. About 25 games in your agent will take to you about being able to ask for a trade soon. A few games after you start to get an option to ask for a trade when the GM checks in on you. This is very important. During any point in this process, DO NOT ASK FOR A TRADE. This will mess up the method and get you traded normally. The whole point of this is to manipulate the GM into trading you.

      5. This is the whole key to the process. When the GM comes to check in on you, tell the GM you do not get along with a teammate. When you pick a teammate, pick the STAR teammate. This is the highest rated teammate and the one who asserts himself as the star of the team during cutscenes, i.e. the one who you watch film with, asks you to be his sidekick, etc. Whem the GM asks if this is seriously an issue and whether you can resolve this pick "no, trade him" The GM will say he will see what he can do and blah blah blah.

      6. The timing of this is very important. DO NOT ASK YOURE TEAMMATE TO BE TRADED IN DECEMBER. Reason being is that the key to this process is the team you picked will be the most interested team in you. Your favorite team will not show interest in you until January when you become a starter. The option will first come up in December but dont choose it. Wait until after you become a starter.

      7. Once you become a starter your star teammate will ask you to be his sidekick. By this time your team chemistry should be in the 90s. In the process I used, I told my teammate to go f*** himself when I got asked to be his sidekick. It should drop your teammate chemistry to 84% and around this time you will get a GM conversation.

      8. After the sidekick conversation the very next GM conversation, ask for your teammate to be traded. Pick the star teammate. Two things will happen. Your teammate chemistry will go down to 76-79% if you told your teammate that you aint no sidekick. Secondly your GM relationship will go down to 1%. This is what you want. Your GM will be fed up with you and will look to trade you.

      9. Once you go back to the main my career menu you should see yourself in the rumor mill. Once you play a game or two your agent will come to you in the arena tunnel and tell you whats going on and that you may be traded and show you a list of interested teams. Your favorite team will show the most interest.

      10. The whole process takes about 5 games. Just keep playing normally and you'll get another GM conversation soon. Dont ask for a trade, just tell your GM youre doing great. This should be 5 games after you asked him to trade your star teammate.

      11. When you continue to the next game the GM will meet with you and tell you it wasnt working out and that youve been traded. You will be traded to the team you choose at the the beginning of the pre draft process if youve followed these steps correctly.

      13. Important Notes-
You may have to regain youre starting spot. Dont worry about this, just give it some time. This seems to be pretty random in occurence.

Also, dont worry about your rating. You will not be traded for a star teammate no matter if youre a high rated player. The GM will trade you for a low rated player of your position and draft picks. In my case I was traded for Ben Mclemore and picks from the 76ers to the Kings or in my current my career I was traded for Danny Green and picks from the Cavs to the Spurs. I was an 82 rated SG each time.

You should be traded by late January/early February depending on what you told your athletic trainer and how many games you missed.

If you arent happy with the team and you want to ask foe a trade afterwards then you s*** outta luck because the normal trade process is a pain in the *** after this point because your GM relationship is only 70% because this is a new team and because this is so close to the trade deadline meaning if you ask for a trade at this point you probably wont be sent to one you choose. Make absolutely sure this is what you want.

Thats the whole process. Use this to get traded to the team of youe choosing.
thanks for this hard work..... as of now, im enjoying my career with portland....i want to go either to SA or Boston (because of their court and history ). So hopefully this could still work in 2nd season.

        Anyone playing SF:

Is there anyway to make your player dribble normal?

Anytime I'm dribbling up the court, my guy dribbles like a Center, slow and hunched over.

My Speed and Quickness are above 80 and my ball handling is 75

Whats your dribbling stance? If youre a taller player youre naturally gonna hunch over since you need to keep your dribble low to the ground. I would suggest changing the dribble stance.

Yeah dude. Playing different my careers gave me a lot of insight into how the trade process works. However, this process worked for me but Im still not sure why this happens exactly. So it would be cool to see how other people get traded in later seasons. Im happy it worked multiple times and I started a my career playing on 12 min quarters confident I would end up in San Antonio which it did. Im a Heat fan cuz I live in Miami but I wanted to play for San Antonio since I wanted my rookie SG to learn from Ginobilli since my game is kinda modeled after a mix of him and Ray Allen in his prime, and also get a chance to get that fifth ring for one of my fav players in Tim Duncan while playing for a great coach in Pop and great players like Tony Parker and having a potential stud in the wing in Kawhi Leonard who basically shuts down all these other superstar forwards like Lebron and KD. Anyways, its cool because I started my career with the Cavs which are a team full of young talent and the way rhe GM traded started a rivalry between me and Kyrie. My rival Ellis is on the 76ers which is cool since they have superstar potential with Noel and MCW. Any of those two teams have the cap space to land one of the free agency superstars like Lebron or Melo so its going to make for an interesting my career in a few seasons.

I changed my dribble stance, but it didn't make a difference. My guy is dribbling like he's a center regardless.

Damn, how tall is he? My SF when I first started was 6'8" and I dont recall his dribble being awkward.

They were maxed. Ball handling and physical attributes were like the first thing I maxed. So I think 85 ball handlimg, 92 speed and 94 quickness with the pressure shorts. But that shouldnt affect the normal animations of taking the ball up the court. I use a low dribble stance. Maybe youre right and SFs have a weird handle and Im just not noticing? Idk my 6'5" SG has a smoother handle and it looks better I think.

Playing with the Sixers is a pain to play with, no good shooters (exceptions of my player, Jason Richardson and James Anderson) and the defense is bad. Our record is 6-15 right now and I'm looking forward to be traded.

That is always an option, at least every other GM conversation. Idk what happens because I havent tried it. But hypothetically if youe favorite team shows the most interest in you on the trade interest list then they should trade for you. Hypothetically, again I havent tried that. If you try that tell us what happens so we can further understand this whole trade process.
Ok cool, i'll just try it again by asking for the best player to be traded. I know you said that rating doesn't matter as far as who your traded for...but what about rating as opposed to who your asking to be traded. Right now i'm 81, Mayo is also 81...if my rating is the best on my team will they go ahead and trade who I asked m to trade?

Thanks again for all the work you've put in...really wish they didn't make it this hard to play for your favorite team. I was hoping to not get my rating in the 90's till I was on the Celtics. Sitting on 40k VC pts

I got to my first regular season matchup with Jackson. Had the whole conversation and bet thing. I proceeded to shut him down. Blocked two of his shots. Two steals. He has no points in the first half. I had 17. We got up by 20.

Then in the 4th something miraculous happened. My teammates began drinking out of bounds. Wouldn't pass it to me. I would get into a contact animation, fall to the floor and stay there for five seconds. Shots with perfect release labeled great rimmed out every time.

We ended up losing by one on a play where I was sucked into a very odd contact animation from about five feet away which destroyed my drive toward the elbow and caused a ridiculous shot animation.

I won the bet easily but lost the game in a fashion that is hard to stomach. Still really enjoy the mode but the aggressive scripting is annoying. I get the set up situations like the bet, or practice fight, whatever.... but when the cpu cause me to tank games by going superman while my Team goes full ******....is annoying

It doesnt matter what your rating is and whether its higher or lower than your teammates. Your GM will basically never trade your "star" teammate no matter how good you are or how much he sucks.

They also changed the trade logic in My Career. It used to be that you would be traded for players of similar rating in current gen. Like if youre a 90 ovr and get traded to the Knicks then theyre trading Melo or something. But I guess that pissed a lot of people off who wanted to play with star teammates only to see them traded away. So now basically regardless of your rating you will not be traded for a star teammate. Thats what I gathered from seeing youtube commentators and my personal trade experiences. Trades usually result in you being traded for a low rated player and draft picks.

The 76ers are terrible but when I played with them we had a really good defense. It was the only way I won games because our offense sucked. I was 19-20 before I got traded.
