Up 2 games to 1 and busy the last week.. I finally got a chance to play game 4 in the West finals vs OKC.. and we (TWolves) are down 68-67 at the half.. who would think Durant would only have 13 at the half after averaging 40+ in the first 3 games..

This game Westbrook is completely unstoppable .. 18 first half points ALL on layups.. drives by everyone.. I can't block his shot.. Pekovic can't block his shot.. the game physics just push us out of the way once he's in the air. The same thing with Lamb in this game, he can't be stopped.

OKC shot 32 of 46 in the first half, and 44 of 68 points are in the paint. Fully expect Durant to score 30 points in the second half and continue the playoff stretch against ME of 40+.. can't imagine a scenario where I come out of the game up 3 games to 1 in the series even down just 1 at the half.

OK.. so 3rd quarter nearing an end and TWolves are on fire.. that 1 point deficit is now a 21 point lead.. I don't get 2K at all sometimes.. we've hit 7 of 8 three-pointers and 17 of 21 from the field overall to 10 of 21 overall for OKC with 0 3's.. in this whole rookie year SF with TWolves we haven't had a quarter like this in ANY game I can remember.

Just wrapped-up my first season. We lost to the Thunder in the Finals 4-2. In two of the four losses we lost by 1 and 4 points. A little frustrating since I averaged 41 PPG, 14 APG, 7 RPG, 4 SPG, and 1.5 BPG with my player, but the 76ers roster just wasn't ready to compete. We lost by 18 and 24 in the other two losses and our two wins came by just 3 and 7 points.

However, the front-office did manage to sign Carmelo in the off-season so no we've got a pretty tight starting lineup:

PG Michael Carter-Williams | 84 OVR
SG Malik Bridges (me) | 91 OVR
SF Carmelo Anthony | 91 OVR
PF Thaddeus Young | 84 OVR
C Nerlens Noel | 78 OVR

Noel had a great rookie year last season, averaging 18.8 PPG, 7.8 RPG, and 1.4 BPG on 68% shooting. Our bench still sucks, though. Looked at the rotations, and my two highest bench players are Omer Asik (73 OVR) and Jason Richardon. But, for whatever reasons, the coach has Asik splitting 14 MPG at center with Henrik Sims -- both players are slotted to get 7 MPG. Richardson is our 11th man for some dumb reason at just 5 MPG.

After lots of frustration with the Timberwolves on my PG, I decided not to wait for the trade... and instead decided to spend my stockpiled 120k VC to create an athletic SF. Turns out 120k VC isn't enough to max out an SF off the bat :P I think 135k would probably be a safe number if anyone is planning on trying it out.

Smashed the rookie showcase as expected, and got drafted 4th by the Bobcats. Decided to give the finger to the luggage handler guy, and haven't got to the clown nose bit, but the finger is going right there too.

Played a couple more games as a SF on the Bobcats... and it has now become obvious to me that there's a Rubio/JJ Barea in every team you play on. In this case, Kemba Walker has now taken over that crown... charging into the lane (and mostly just getting the charge), but occasionally getting facesmashed by either the opposing centre or PF.

The difference I've noticed between the Timberwolves (my PG career) and the Bobcats is that the Timberwolves actually seem to have a number of scoring options. For the most part, Love/Pekovic are semi-dependable. On the Bobcats, Jefferson seems to be the only remotely useful team-mate. The favourite pass of the Bobcats is the bounce pass... in the middle of the paint... when the opposing team is collapsing.

It's become rather obvious that the only thing HOF does, on top of making your opponent become incapable of missing (not really, but you know what I mean)... is make your own team-mates absolutely terrible.

Nope. Only get that option if you take adidas at first.

Damn I didn't wanna stay on jordan I wanted to sign with nike. I thought the contract would expire. Like the Adidas deal. But still just like the Adidas deal shouldn't you get the option the option to either stay with jordan or switch to nike?

My TWolves are a little broken, Barea played 10 games in my SF career before being injured for the season.. as for Rubio I started taking the ball from him with my SF when chemistry got in the 90% range.. he still gets 10 assists and 3 turnovers but the forced layup into a turnover has been cut down huge..not that a SF should be bringing the ball up but if LeBron can do it my 95 SF can?

In the next game, I get soundly smashed by... the Bucks... who go 18/33 beyond the arc. At the same time, my team is attempting to play soccer and prefers to put the ball directly on the floor instead of dribbling which results in that pinball rebounding sound a lot. I end with 44/3/8 after giving up some time early in the 3rd quarter and just walk around waiting in corners for hopefully some 3s (I think I was eventually passed the ball 3 times).

After the game, Brendan Haywood (who strangely has never featured on the court yet), who is the "luggage guy" and "clown nose guy" in this career asks me to join the guys to celebrate... I'm still wondering what we're celebrating seeing as we lost to the Bucks by something like 20 points... which is coincidentally more than anybody on the Bobcats scored during that match except me.

This game occurred immediately after I shot down "clown nose guy" - maybe everybody is in a hissy fit because of that and decided collectively to lose.

No, the only thing you can do is complain about the coach or another player on your team. Be careful though, asking the GM to trade a "star player" on your team may piss off the GM enough to get you traded instead (which may be a good thing).

Completely agreeing with you mate. I am on Chicago Bulls and Derrick rose who used to score 28 ppg niw scores 11ppg. The only option to Win on HOF is to get the lead fast and start a run in the beginning. If they get the leadand start a run, it's almost impossible to follow.

I'm playing the Bucks again... and at the end of the 1st, OJ Mayo has 6/6 3 pointers out of a total 9 scored by the Bucks (for an 81% 3 point percentage). Most times it's my CPU teammate that sags off (all the way into the paint or to the opposite side of the court) - but a couple of times, I've had them score fading 3 pointers... shot clock cheese style. If I was playing Reggie Miller or Ray Allen, I might shrug it off... but the Bucks? OJ Mayo? I mean I haven't really followed the NBA in awhile, so I may be mistaken... but since when did the Bucks become a team full of 3 point hitmen? This is the 2nd time I've gone against the Bucks and it was pretty much the same the 1st time.

I refuse to lose this time and will restart the game at least 10 times before I give up. I'm planning on pounding the paint and trying to rack up fouls on the Bucks so hopefully Mayo/Knight get benched for as long as possible (and suddenly Ilyasova will hit 10 3s). How do you guys work around the CPU cheese? I don't remember it being so bad on my PG... either that or the Timberwolves just had much better D.

Edit: Forgot to mention, I can't get the lead fast in the beginning. I get subbed in at about 7 minutes remaining in the 1st and we're already down 10-12.

Edit: Edit: On my next game... something confusing occured. Game was against Miami, and I got the 2nd Lebron cutscene... but he was in a Bobcats jersey. I was like WTF did the Bobcats trade and get Lebron? So I checked the rosters, and Lebron was on neither team. 2k14 really is magical...

Game 5 Western Finals is a tight one with OKC.. TWolves been up by 1 or 2 most of the game.. I've got 17 points 4 boards 5 assists 3 blocks and a steal 2 minutes into the third quarter.. and I have a C- grade.. because I'm guarding Durant the whole game.. he's 13 of 15 with 27 points already.. all on layups driving by me when I'm on him tight and obviously if I'm not on him tight he just swishes every jumper.. sort of the damned if you do.. damned if you don't scenario.. the animation goes right through like I'm not there this game. I can only imagine how un-stoppable he's going to be as the "cover boy" this year.

AFTER 3 quarters Durant now has 41 on 19 of 22 shooting. Westbrook is going to set a career mark for single game assists ..already has 15 in 3 quarters and 16 is what the game says his single game mark is.

Here's a new one.. OKC is down by 3 127-124 with 14 seconds left.. they have the ball to inbound..and THEY throw it off a teammates back and out of bounds.. I just have to make 1 of 2 free throws to ice it. Durant's still got 49 near the final buzzer.. Westbrook scored a pile in the 4th and only had one assist. After I made both free throws OKC just made a quick shot.. THEN stole the inbound pass and scored again.. 129-128 with 9 seconds left.. Westbrook had the game tying shot from the free throw line after I missed 1 of 2 the next time at the line, he missed with my SF's hand in his face.. thought for SURE this was going overtime.. but somehow got out of the West finals 4 games to 1 with Durant averaging 43 ppg (51, 48. 39, 27, and 49) in the 5 games.

Durant challenged me to hit 3 threes in that last game.. social media he brags about me not doing it of course.. (I shot 2 of 5).. as if THAT's going to happen in real life after OKC loses in the Western finals?

Here's a SHOCKER from 2K that I never saw coming.. in the Eastern finals, the Nets defeated the Heat in 7 games.. maybe not a total shock but the game actually INJURED LeBron.. torn MCL in game 6
