I wouldn't blame 2K's lag on your TV, 2K has been lagging for years..Though, having a TV with really low input lag is great for online gaming and how you can turn off a feature like 240hz, its a refresh rate?

Re: Does anyone notice SLIGHT input lag on PS4?
Panels on sets are usually native 120hz and use software to achieve "240hz." Usually is software is referred to as "Cinemotion" (each manufacturer has their own name for it). You want to disable this, and enable any game mode that presents itself.
The point of my suggestion to make sure this stuff is disabled is that a TV with horrendous input lag only adds to your cumulative input lag (latency from Internet, controllers, 20's servers, video and audio receivers, splitters) etc.
Your TV's input lag is something that's completely in your control that you can limit by simply doing a little bit of research before purchasing the television to limit the amount of cumulative lag on your end. 2k severs are obviously out of your control, however which TV, router and modem you purchase clearly are not.
The most obvious one is your choice of how you connect - gaming should strictly be done via a hardwired ethernet connection. Wi-Fi is not a viable way of gaming as it's prone to interference, and the majority of time you're inducing an unnecessary bottleneck into your network by relying on your routers throughput (which the majority of time isn't great) thus reducing your speeds and increasing latency thus hampering your experience. In short - wifi isn't for gaming.Last edited by Find_the_Door; 11-23-2013, 07:39 PM.Antonio Rodrigo "Minotauro" Nogueira - UFC Hall of FameComment

Re: Does anyone notice SLIGHT input lag on PS4?
Yep i experience lag offline alright, but the game is still installing so hopefully it gets fixed once everything is installed
Right now, the lag is bad, and no its not the tv, ps3 works fine offline, xbox 360, pc, no lag, well the ps4 runs fine going through the dashboard, as soon as you go to nba 2k14 theres lag, more noticeable while navigating through ingame menusComment

Re: Does anyone notice SLIGHT input lag on PS4?
Played CG (ps3) and NG (ps4) on same tv. NG seems noticeably more delayed to me, regarding input and reaction on screen? Makes onball defense very difficult, and offensively makes isomotion difficult as well. This is my experience and i tend to agree with OP.

Re: Does anyone notice SLIGHT input lag on PS4?
I've noticed this off and online. It doesn't happen very often, but I have noticed it once or twice. When I noticed it offline, I was like "Here we go with this SHHHH again." I have mostly been having problems with connecting to quick matches. Either I can't connect at all or when I do finally connect, the match is too laggy.Comment

Re: Does anyone notice SLIGHT input lag on PS4?
I feel like the new engine just plays slower is all. 2k has always had a delayed input to it in a sense. That's because animations have to realistically finish and play out.Played CG (ps3) and NG (ps4) on same tv. NG seems noticeably more delayed to me, regarding input and reaction on screen? Next gen definitely has a new engine with the foot planting - that could be your issue.

Re: Does anyone notice SLIGHT input lag on PS4?
Never mind - I'd like to take back everything I've said. For whatever reason today it's been absolutely abysmal. I press the d-pad in the menu during an online game only for it to have like a second of delay. Disgusting.
Any hope that this can be alleviated?

Re: Does anyone notice SLIGHT input lag on PS4?
I also feel input lag online. I can kind of build a rhythm while adjusting to the input lag but playing on-ball D is damn near impossible with the delay. I can play BF4 with 64 players in 1 server with no issue but I can't play a 1 on 1 in 2K without noticeable input lag.Comment

Re: Does anyone notice SLIGHT input lag on PS4?
For people who thinks input can't be caused by your TV, you're sadly mistaken. I recently purchased a 50" Panasonic plasma which had a unreal picture for both the PS4 and Xbox One.
I played 2K14 on systems with this plasma. The input lag was so bad I returned the TV. I played the PS4 version on my brothers 55" LG led, which ran smooth. (240 hz) So I decided to do some research on TV's before I went and bought another. I found this site http://www.displaylag.com/display-database/.
My only problem now is trying the find a balance between picture quality and gaming performance.Florida State Seminoles

Re: Does anyone notice SLIGHT input lag on PS4?
I never thought I'd say this, but I have to play offball defense online. This delay makes it impossible to play on-ball D. I might just stop playing this game online altogether because I hate playing offball D. I might as well just play My Career if I'm gonna let the CPU guard the ball.
This is so disappointing. 2K needs to fix this ASAP. I've been playing Madden A LOT more than this game on my PS4.Lineup:

To clarify - most plasmas don't have high input lag. The majority of them have really low input lag.For people who thinks input can't be caused by your TV, you're sadly mistaken. I recently purchased a 50" Panasonic plasma which had a unreal picture for both the PS4 and Xbox One.

The lowest input lag on the market in a TV is possessed by the Sony W802A series. The Panasonic ST60 measures high however I can assure you it's not the TV. Every other game I play on it no issues. It's simply their online net code that's far behind other titles.

I purchased the Panasonic Model: TC-P50ST60 which is a plasma and the lag was so bad. I played offline only. The Sony Model: KDL55W802A is what's on my list now. You are correct with the lowest input lag.To clarify - most plasmas don't have high input lag. The majority of them have really low input lag.
