Not sure if this was because of the Patch or not, but I decided to try my Custom Roster in a new My GM and IT WORKED!!! I was told by Leftos the Custom Roster Issue was due to the Editing of Nene, so I traded him to one of the euro teams, released the euro player in free agency and saved my Custom Roster. So Nene really is the problem with the Custom Rosters. This is NO WAY acceptable, as I would like to see Nene In my GM or Season, but If you want to run a Quick Season until the Patch gets here, it's Definitely possible.

@All - Is there a way to avoid installing this patch? Like not signing in to PSN or disabling the network connection before I play? I just have a prompt that says: "Ready to install". But I assume there was no patch installed since I didnt see any file that is 2GB on the hard drive at the moment for NBA 2k14. Any advice on this would be great for a ps4 newbie.

Ok so there's still a glitch in the park where a player is just standing in the middle of an empty court and he takes up the last spot so no matches can ever be started because that final spot is always empty

Patch 3 is the big one folks. Lots in there, so it's requiring some solid development time. This patch just resolves a few key issues to get some people playing and to ensure a few key services are functioning correctly. The lead time on patches (from when we're done to release) for XB1/PS4 is upwards of 2 weeks depending on first party load.

I hope Online Leagues Customization and Administration will be added to Patch 3. There are many people waiting for it se they can start enjoying 2k14 next-gen.

Regarding this patch, I am neither a MyCareer nor a MyGM player so I can not say much about those modes, however gameplay seems a little bit more polished though, so good news after all...

Any ETA on when you are going to touch the rosters?

Just off the top of my head…

-You have lots of older players who were judged on different scales so they have inflated overalls.
- pass ratings are dated
-You still have guys on the wrong roster
-Missing players that were signed years ago
-Guys with typo (accidental) tendencies and ratings
-You have the number one team in the west ranked 22nd.
-You have guys who are completely missrated ie overrated (poorly scouted) just to raise an overall like giving Lillard a 99 runner when his runner sucks.
-You have ratings that have not been touched for years like Aldridge still has his rookie str rating at 60
-The Trail Blazers are misrated up and down the rosters, Meyers Leonard cant shoot, Claver has poor defense, Freeland is behind Leonard in your depth chart, Batum has the ratings, tendencies, plays, of a catch and shoot player when he is a hybrid.
-You don’t use advanced rebound stats so guys who box out their man but have low rebound numbers have such low rebound ratings they let the ball bounce off their head
-You have the ability to add accurate wingspans/measurements. My One rsoters gt Max1000000 has the Heat, Trail Blazers, and Lakers with proper wingpsans/standing reach estimates and it really does improve the graphics. How could you not add something so easy and so impressive?
-Guards have overrated speeds. Every PG that isn’t old ie Nash and Andre Miller has like an 88 to 99 in speed yet athletic bigs are capped at 75. This is one of the reasons LeBron is somewhat overrated. He is in a game where he is the only fast 260 pound dude.


You guys need to humble yourself and admit that your rosters are weak. The shooting ratings are ok until you get to the layups then they are arbitrary. The only way they can be fixed and maintained is if you do a ground up every rating rerated based on as much empirical data as you can muster. And that is only half of the equation. The playbooks, hotspots, and the tendencies need the same treatment.

It's pretty sad that we have to rely on the roster community to sort out all these issues that 2k can't sort themselves... And now they have taken away the tools to sort it out or made it a lot harder!

CG with vtcrb's roster is a thing of beauty...

And don't get me started on the missing players that are not in the game... It's not as if they are scrubs... 2 or 3 weeks in and still no Faverini. Oh well back to Football Manager 2014... A game where the developers listen to the community and GIVE US WHAT WE WANT!

Is this the same as doing a runner/floater because I tried that but it's still stuck at 0/20.

Not for nothing. The Park is fixed, which they specifically said the patch was made to address. I haven't tried MyCareer since the patch , but I hadn't had trouble with that mode prior, so I can't speak on whether it has changed for me. I wish it were working for everyone.

How is it complaining when these are real issues for me it's been a week since playing a quick match offline without being crashed back to home. I'm on Xbox One btw, so if you have not come across these issues good for you but please don't belittle the people that have.

Just because YOU haven't had any issues, doesn't mean other people haven't. All of these issues people are complaining about are literally game breaking issues. This is the NBA 2K forum, this has NOTHING to do with NBA Live, so I'm not sure why you keep telling us to play it if we wanna see a bad game.

What we want is for these modes to work as advertised, and when a patch comes out that was supposed to fix these game breaking bugs, and they STILL don't work, yeah, people are going to be upset and complain.

There is NO excuse for people to not be able to play their My Careers after this patch, especially if they spent money on VC. There is NO excuse for the game continuously crashing, or things just strait up not working. What was the point of this patch? What did it fix? Because according to a lot of people it's absolutely nothing.

Also, we were supposed to get the ability to save custom rosters to our HDD with this patch. Did that happen? Lol no. So, for you to get mad at other folks complaining about problems that essentially make the game worthless for them, and then bringing NBA Live into this just makes NO sense.

So, good for you that you've had no problems, stay out of the thread then because it's obviously not for you. But for the people that keep having these issues that the patch was supposed to fix, they have more than a right to be upset,

The worst part about all of this is that the blame keeps getting passed around. I contacted 2K Support about the crashing issues with MyPlayer after the patch and they asked me to fill out a trouble ticket for the issue so they could resolve it. I did that and the response I received from 2K that the crashing issues were Sony's fault. And then they asked me to contact Sony PS support and see if they could help. And here's the kicker, at the end of the email from 2K they ask me to send them a copy of the email that Sony sends me so they could see what Sony is saying. Apparently, there is a lack of communication all the way around.

Lol BF4 did 4 days of double XP and you don't have micro-transactions, I can bet you 2K will do nothing to apologize for people losing time and Money/VC. I was a month from the playoffs about to win MVP smdh had game since day 1 what a joke!!!

I'm afraid to see what the patch will do to the Xbone version.

To be dead honest in my thinking. These systems/games were not ready to be released when they did. I would have much rather they released a month or two down the road. We paid too much for these systems and to have these types of issues is just unacceptable. There is no other way to put it

Amazon has the PS3 version for $40. I held out for as long as I was willing to. They're not going to be able to fix this game. It's just too far gone. Staying with current gen for another year. (maybe longer if 2K pulls this again)
