NBA 2K14 Patch Available Now For PS4, Later For Xbox One - Post Your Impressions

I was so hyped about this game but now...

A lot of us were hyped, some of us, though hyped, didn't completely buy in to the hype, we not completely sold with the game got bashed, then news broke out with no CAP, roster creators mad, then myGM showed similar legacy problems, association guys were mad as ever, then the park and online servers act up, online players mad, then this patch drops, now everyone is mad.

If only all of us saw this months ago.

I would say "it's next gen year 1" but the fact that the game came out with broken features is not acceptable. Missing features are fine, but breaking them isn't.

And, how come 2K14 got such great reviews? Did they actually play the game?
Without a real CAP, MyCareer doesn't make sense. Where is the identification?

This stupid patch is still installing for me. The only option I have right now is Quick Game. Is this normal?

Yes. Remember when you had to install everything and all you had was Quick Game? Well, this is the "patch and play at the same time" type of thing.

My copy will not update to the new patch released. My ps4 is set up for auto downloads. I uninstalled and re-installed the game but nothing takes place after that.

Why is this taking so long to install? I just downloaded it about an hour ago....how long do I have to wait?

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned already, but The Park is doing a lot better; however, it's still not where it should be. The 5v5 court in the server I visited was still in that glitched standstill phase where half of the Got Next circles were taken up by invisible players, and there were a couple people standing still at half court.

I also was disconnected halfway through the first (and only) game that I played, but my Internet stayed connected from what I could tell.

Just when I was about to say "haha suckers!" NBA 2K14 got me to. Seriously though I wasn't going to say that. What we are dealing with is a sham. I created a new custom roster and got My GM playing to perfection until my third game. I played two games in a row with 12 minute quarters to get the full experience. But there I am playing against the Kings with the Warriors. I had 8 minutes to go till the game ends. I saved it and turned off my PS4 to go take care of some things. I come back thinking hey it should load right? Nope I get stuck at that damn weird trainer and GM sitdown with no words spoken at all and just the camera switching camera angles. This is my first NBA 2K purchase since 04, yep. I love the on court experience but I am baffled by the off court experience. This is the most broken sports game in the history of video games. To the AHole who tried to say go play Live, you obviously have no common sense. It appears that there is over 20 pages worth of complaints. I would say that is a majority. Not only that but these complaints are only from one website. Also what about the poor folks who haven't posted anything on a website? 2K should fire the game testers who tested this piece of garbage. This thread is like therapy for people so thank you all for your support. "My name is Rob and I'm a pissed off consumer!" If patch three doesn't fix these uneccessary problems then I will return the game with a giant F This Game scratched into the disk so no one can play this embarrassment of a sports title!

never felt the need to mess with sliders much until this patch. now the game feels twitchy, animations aren't as smooth. defenders are spazzing out.......man im getting to old for this crap, I just want to enjoy my game.

I have a feeling this push for always connected, auto updating games, will ruin sports gaming for me. most patches the last few years have made games worse IMO (not just 2k). I remember back in the day use to look forward to 2k patches, they always made the game run smoother, opened up more animations, and touched up a few issues. I don't know if "the we want it now age" has these guys messing with too much code.

BF4 is a mess right now, I can barely connect to a server, when the game doesn't freeze since my last update, guess Ill keep my fingers crossed maddens patch will bring back the organic animations from current gen......sorry for the rant the 2 games I went next gen early for are patched into crap, as far as madden I was perfectly happy with the 360 version smh

So 2k support got back to me and they wanted me to format my ps4 (oh you have other games? Who cares.). Then told me to bug Sony.

I'm sorry, it's not my job as a consumer to track down bugs and try to figure this out.

Now they're telling me to make a new PSN account to play the game. WTF.

Well this answers my question about if this has been fixed. I am having the same problem 6 games into myGM :/ So lame.

Nba 2k14 xboxone patch is finally out size is about 1gb installing now hopefully I see some improvements
