I will never spend a single dollar on it. I think that's stupid. -

Re: Updated Poll on How Much Money Has Been Spent On VC
I used about $10 this morning to try to get my MyPlayer a little better for The Park. The other guys characters that I played still seemed a lot better than mine, but I'm not trying to spend any of my real money. That credit that they gave us came in handy.Comment

Re: Updated Poll on How Much Money Has Been Spent On VC
I have spent $20 dollars every year since the implementation of VC to get MyPlayer to about 82-85 OVR. Also, to buy dunk packages and accessories. I want my guy to knock down 3's at consistent clip and be able to dunk in transition from the get go since I play HOF. Doesn't really break the bank. That's as far as I go though. Not a penny more.Comment

Re: Updated Poll on How Much Money Has Been Spent On VC
perhaps i'm in the minority, but i played the absolute hell out of 2k13. i'm talking like 3-4 hours a day every day, at least. i quickly glanced at my playstation purchase history and after a few minutes i saw over $200 spent on 2k in the past 2 iterations. granted that's including 2 games so not just vc. i usually just play mycareer and i'd start over sometimes when the trades got too crazy. but for me, dropping $20 (it was just cheaper on ps3 to buy in bulk) to bring a guy up to a respectable rating for a guy that lasted a month or so wasn't a big deal. for a while i was collecting arm bands in colors of the teams i played for but i quickly abandoned that.
i'm very much part of the problem but this latest version is ridiculous.
i like the idea of being a mid 70-80s rated rookie ala lebron or something and i like wearing armbands and stuff. 2k unfortunately makes it that i have to pay to have that stuff, or be patient and earn it, lol.
i feel like a jackoff typing all of that out.|| rv motion graphics. ||Comment

Re: Updated Poll on How Much Money Has Been Spent On VC
I'm 32 with a wife and two kids. If I didn't buy VC, my experience with this game would be horrible. I would have to play 8 MyGM games or probably 20+ My Career games just to get a pair of shoes for The Park lol. I don't get to spend as much time with it as I would like, so buying VC helps me enjoy the full experience a lot quicker."I strive to be live cause I got no choice" - CL Smooth

No one should ever spend money on VC, it only reinforces the idea 2k has implemented. If they don't make much money on it they'd realize it doesn't work.Comment

The problem is the fact that casuals don't want to struggle. They just wanna be 99 overall as a rookie, averaging 60pts a game.Sixers/Panthers/Tarheels

If other people do, that's absolutely their prerogative. But as others have said, it's only going to reinforce 2K's micro transaction implementation, which sucks in the long run.Comment

Re: Updated Poll on How Much Money Has Been Spent On VC
I have not spent money on VC. Everyone should be able to enjoy the game without having to shell out a single penny, including those who only have a limited amount of time to play due to other responsibilities and commitments.
What 2k needs to do:
1. All basic accessories need to be FREE. They've always been free. I should not have to pay an entire year's worth of MyCareer salary just to get a sleeve. I'm cool with having the park outfits, jerseys and and team attire for sale, because that's all just gravy. Headbands, sleeves, knee pads ect...should all be available immediately without having to spend VC. Created shoes should be equipable without having to buy them.
2. COMPLETELY take VC out of MyGM mode. The model they have built right now is silly. It's basically pay to win. If you don't play the games, then you'll earn 1000 VC per year if you're lucky. The issue with that is that there are so many things that require you to spend VC...training camp, team faculties, arena features, GM attributes, GM abilities. All of these things should be bought with actual team finances. GM attributes/abilities should be gained as you progress through the mode through press conferences, owner meetings, player meetings ect....
3. Change MyTeam pack prices. 3000 VC for a Bronze pack?.....That's 6x what it use to be just a year ago. I predict that next year they'll raise it to 5000 at this rate.Comment

Re: Updated Poll on How Much Money Has Been Spent On VC
I used the 10 dollar credit Sony sent me to get the 35,000 VC. Other than that I will never spend my money on VC. I'm already on the fence about purchasing next years game due to this next gen debacle, but if VC has an even more expanded role next year, I will just have to go without a basketball game for the first time since the SNES days.
