You can take off the gear in the main screen before you go into any modes. Just go to features and my player. There will be the myplayer closet there that you can take the stuff off from

No he has the same situation as me his my career loads directly into a game not driving to the arena or on the plane I'm guessing mine won't work even after removing gear because it's loading directly to a game

yeah, you can take it off. go to features then mycloset. i was able to turn all the gear off (my file was stuck in a press conference). i also changed the suit i was wearing to something else and would you know what, IT LET ME GET PAST THE SPOT IT KEPT CRASHING AT.

however, one concerning note, it only let me thru after i selected a bs answer (yes i ate lunch alone in my car). all other answers crashed. now i've had like 5 cutscenes about it..

Thats what Im afraid of. Before the patch, I tried working on 3-4 different myCareer (no im not buying VC ). I could go pass through the gym and altercation without issue. NOW AFTER the patch not only i get this but the code error is frequently happening.

If this is not resolved in patch 3....... 2k14 NG will be the worst hyped video game in my list.

Yeah I took off equipment and it worked, no more buying VC until this is fixed I guess

There should be enough data in this thread for them to fix the main reason for crashes in MyCareer. I just hope they get to it sooner rather than later 'cause I love the mode when it's actually running. Too much of a gear nerd to play without it.

This is absolutley unacceptable. If they were going to take out so many feutures atleast have the ones in the game working. This why EA needs to get on the ball 2k needs ea to kick there *** next year so they can realize they are slacking. But my point is they need to fix this by the end of next week.

That's some wishful thinking, even if they do kno the cause now we all kno 2K doesn't ever solve these problems quickly. Look how long it took to get current rosters. Next gen seems to b holding them back even more than before. The third patch is gonna have to b pretty amazing, and I don't expect it til around the All-Star break...

I tried that but all I have is just the default stuff it starts with so I couldn't take take anything off. So I am pretty sure there are more reasons causing this issue other than the gear being equipped. Hopefully 2k can fix this.

Taking off gear works for me, the main problem in MyCareer is the star players getting injured and never returned. In my 2nd season and probably every allstar is injured.

Similar to many other users in this thread, I started frequently getting the crash after Patch 2 was installed, either while loading a game or at the end of the periodic GM Sitdown.

I can confirm, however, that taking off all Game Day gear helps my load out. I didn't need to touch any Off the Court gear or anything.

alright guys I don't know if this is a true fix but the first time this happened to me it wouldn't reload NBA from the homescreen. 2nd time NBA would load and since I only play MC naturally that would kick me back to the home screen so here's what I did to fix it both time:

Note this is only on X1 I don't kno about PS4 quit the app on the homescreen, eject the game, turn off the console and unplug it so the Xbox leaves Standby mode... Wait a few seconds for the fans to stop running then plug back in insert the game and pray that it works lol.

I have had this happen only twice since launch so its not bulletproof

so, i've been thinking about how this is clearly related to gear, for most people, and the error started popping up the day i bought a headband. i applied it in the closet but it didn't show up in the game. then it crashed after that game. i wonder if 2k's terrible saving (aka non-existent) of settings is the culprit.

Just ended up getting this message when trying to start my next game in my career....I tried the method of taking off the accessories and still it crashes, I uninstalled and reinstalled the game and patch and still nothing...I am afraid I lost my player...man I really hope not I was well into the season about 50 games in...

Update just now: Got it to work, apparently I missed taking off an accessory. It's working again. Still 2K has to figure out how to fix this error.

I got this error while playing the rookies vs sophomore game and I have zero accessories on my guy always get the error once someone scores a bucket worst thing too is this was going to get me the Champs sports sponsor this is getting me mad man $60 on a game I can't even play wow
