I have the disc version, still having problems. though, the last time I played it loaded pretty fast. but on avg, it takes about 5-8mins to be completely boot up. its crazy

I don't buy 2k every year, so this kinda sucks. I hope 2k15 will be better, if not, then I'll wait til 2k16 and just keep playing this...if and when it works. This is why good competition is needed. if live was any good, then the patches for 2k would be out faster, they would be motivated to release something asap but because the competition sucks, they don't need to.

I'm not saying they are not working on a patch or not working on a releasing a patch. I'm just saying if live was any good, you'd see a lot more frequent updates and more manpower in these teams cause they are competing. No one is going to want to play a buggy game if the other game is just as good. It would put more pressure on them to deliver. Just look at bf4. Buggy(should have never been released until march, like they always do) but since they have competition, they have to halt and fix everything before moving on. If they didn't, their updates would roll out gingerly at their convenience.

(xbox 1) Not sure if it's because of a patch or what is going on but my game has been unplayable since yesterday morning. It does take a long time to get to the start up video but after that I get to the home screen and the only thing I can do is play a Quick game. It appears my issue is that I cant connect to the 2k servers...even tho my internet is up and running and all other games play fine. Pretty frustrating that a game becomes 100% unplayable if there is ever an issue with your internet, the 2k servers, or xbox live.

Unacceptable in my opinion that this game could get to the point where people arent even able to play it at all. I had yesterday and today off of work and those are going to be the only days off i'll have all month. Was looking forward to playing this game, but looks like that's not going to happen at all.

For me I have to sign out of PSN start the game. When it get to the main menu sign back it in. Works everytime.

2K14 is probably the most broken game on PS4 right now and it's incredibly frustrating. If I want to play it's honestly a 50/50 chance of if the game is even going to work or not, so stupid.

Same on xbox one. Game either takes forever to load, or crashes during a game. Went to play last night an myGM and myPlayer were gone. Glad I bought VC To upgrade my player wtf? Gone. Game is broken on both systems, which tells me it's a 2k issue. All other games play perfectly. Frustrating for sure

I literally deleted and installed 2K14 3 times. After each time I got the black screen at startup. I'm surprised its been working good as if late. I did read somewhere to let the patch install completely before launching the game for the firstctime. I did that after my last install and its been okay.

I get the black screen (downloaded upgraded version with PS3 disk inside). You can just quit the game and start it again. The black screen does take a bit longer than it used to before but eventually it'll go away after like 8-15 seconds when it works.

its getting crazy. how widespread is this crap? they need to fix that crap asap. I almost got mad and thought my ps4 was defective. If I had no other games, I'd be freaking out and thought my reader broke.

Same here...i pop in the NBA2k disc and i will get to a compeltely black screen..no sound and no video..just pure black screen and i counted and it stays like that for like 22 seconds or so...then finally i gets onto the intro stuff..

At first i thought it was my disc drive in my PS4..had me greatly worried but than i tried Madden and Killzone and those fired up quickly.

have been stuck at the black screen when starting the game up a couple times. have to restart PS4 to get it to work.

I just got my PS4 and NBA 2K14 today and am having this problem after downloading that massive update before even playing one game. IS THERE ANY FIX?

I'm starting up fine, its that now I am crashing when I play myCareer. It crashed during a game and now it loads me directly into the game each time and it crashes 2 seconds after loading.
