What the **** did they do to Kemba Walker? He has a great CF on Current Gen.
D.Rose is too light.
Jeff Green is off.
2k got a lot of faces right, but when they got them wrong, they really screwed it up.
Its not really their fault though. 2k got a lot of faces right because they got these guys face scanned. But a lot of guys like Deron Williams didnt get face scans or refused to. So when you have all these photorealistic faces and then you have ones that were just drawn up, it sticks out big time. Creating faces out of scratch is hard enough, next gen makes it even harder because everything thats scanned looks so realistic. I wouldnt say they screwed them up. Its hard to do when you dont have a scan of someone. Thats why theres no full create a player face customization in this game. They need to find a way to make generated players look realistic so the only real option at the moment was to have prescanned faces, although they should have had way more than just 23 freaking faces.

How do you know specifically know that some players refused?

They said so. Others they probably couldnt get to for some reason. But they did scan a lot of players and a lot of guys seem awesome. The problem is when they have to generate a face for guys who have no face scan. It sticks out so bad because everyone else looks amazing.
You should be able to, if the game has a contract with the NBAPA, they should have to participate in using their likeness. Wishful thinking I know, but man. Can someone post the new Andre Miller? Interested in seeing the change.

Even if this were true, they managed to achieve better likenesses in last gen for many of these guys. Deron Williams looks better on CG than NG, and his face certainly wasn't scanned on CG.
There really is no excuse. Why would a lack of headscan result in a miniature or gigantic head size, incorrect body type or a complexion that is completely off? That looks like a lack of attention to detail to me, and/or apathy inasmuch as they went as far to detail water bottles on the scorers table and scuffs on the rim but player likenesses are grossly misrepresented, as are many courts and jerseys.
No reason at all that even if they have to artistically render a players face, they should be as incredibly inaccurate as so many of the faces in this game. After all, is this not what they have been forced to do till this point? Look at Current Gen Glen Davis and compare him to Next Gen. No more excuses for these guys.
By the way, where is that court and jersey update Ronnie promised was coming "shortly after" patch 3?
I understand that not all players could have their faces scanned for various reasons. But people like D. Williams and Rubio already looked good on current gen. So why not just carry them out into next gen? They sure started from scratch with a bunch of the players, anyone can see that. And I get mad at people who go "wow" when watching the trailer, because when you actually play the game you can't recognize a lot of people. I swear, the first time I played if it wasn't for the commentator calling out D. Williams' name I would not have known it was him.
Personally it puts me off that so many don't look right, it's like going back 5 years. And I just don't get how 2 months ago many of the players looked OK on 2k14 current gen but not on next gen.
