Just thought I'd add my status to this thread. Haven't been able to connect to the servers since midday yesterday, and when I start the game, it tries to make me create a new mycareer.

I think they're one in the same. The game probably defaults to the checking for net connection when it can't connect to the 2k servers.


In other news, I just tried to sign on again. No luck obviously, but it has reverted back to where I was last night. I can see the VC I've earned (which hasn't changed any) and I can see the picture of my guy next to it. No NBA Today or anything though.

This is my situation, can see my VC and the picture of MyPlayer next to it, but I cannot see NBA Today and cannot play MyGM or MyCareer. I can input locker codes for free VC, and the 2K app updated with my 24 hour envelope as well as giving me the VC for the picks I made last night. So frustrating.

I just went through the intro movies, Let me upgrade my dunk stats by like 5, log back to my other account then back and see if i'm corrupted.

Search "2k servers" on twitter. Hundreds of people are having these same problems. I called the 2k support line and got nothing.

I lost connection when upgrading my player in MyCareer and haven't been able to get back on since, obviously thats common. But if My MyCareer save has been corrupted or glitched in any way I am 100% done with this game and its getting sold. Which is a shame because glitches and server issues aside, its a great game. I know I just sound like the average person ranting at 2K, but when you put many many hours into a MyCareer save, get your pro up to 90 OVR and then have that save glitched and become unplayable. and THEN create a new one after much debate of waiting for patches that have proven to fix nothing, and spend many more hours in that too and get your new player up to 82 OVR and then having a possibilty that that save may be corrupt too when the servers are back up? Its just ridiculous you know..

I think we have something with the 2k accounts, because I just went on to my dads psn, made a 2k account, did all the intro stuff, upgraded my guys dunk and 3pt rating by 5 each, logged off, went back to my original account, STILL couldn't get past "Checking Internet Connection..", logged BACK off, on to my dad's account again and I can get online instantly. I think if you weren't corrupted yet, you might be fine, but I don't know. I'm gonna play on my dad's account but if I lose this one...

I can confirm that if you make a new PSN account it works fine. Accounts are probably corrupted.

created a new psn, game loads fine. started a new myplayer, just waiting to get thru the hour of BS cutscenes prior to the 1st game. want to see if i can buy anything with vc to see if it crashes.

i am curious if it is real $ vc that crashes it (which is what i used on my other guy when it crashed). for now i have redeemed the 5k vc code that was floating around. LETS SEE.

I created a new PSN account and the server is definitely still down for MyTeam. You can try to start a game but nothing happens.


Edit: just got a game started, seems to work intermittently like it did before final crash.

I'm beginning to think that our 2k accounts got corrupted and they are trying to find something to cushion the blow with when they tell us. That's the only thing that really makes sense to me.

I feel you. This is when games make no fun anymore. I feel punked and it doesn't seem to interest anyone at 2k, ronny is just tweeting as if this was nothing and it affects only a small amount of people.

I thought the servers on last gen 2k14 were bad, this is getting to be unbelievable. If people's myplayers and myteams are corrupted and gone then there will be nothing 2k can do to repay us.

in around 10 hours ronnie will tweet that 2k accounts were corrupted when using VC, and then give you a ****ty dunk package code or a gold pack in myteam for your troubles.
