Mine is still unplayable. I have the champs store, all gear available, but at the bottom says checking internet connection.. This is ridiculous. 2k support sucks

Im gonna play a couple quick games, since i can edit rosters again, and then restart my ps4 and see what happens

Still no access for me in Brisbane, Australia. Still says looking for internet connection, but that's a misnomer since my internet is connected and the ps4 has no issues logging onto the store or accessing the internet normally.

So this is all on 2K. And now I'm really starting to see the faults of the cloud based requirements. Pretty disappointing from 2K, and still a real shame. I hadn't brought a 2K game in 2 years prior to this, and only got it to show off the new capabilities of the console.

Moving onto assassins creed then. Oh well.

the only thing that determines if i buy 2k next year is if EA puts out a good game...

but i still am very interested in how 2k will respond to an entire weekend, even longer, without working servers causing only a slim % of the population to even be able to play the game.

I just want to finish my myteam historic collections since we have a limited amount of time, and something tells me 2k won't extend it for the time we are losing

I cannot connect to the 2K Servers and sometimes the COD Ghosts Servers. When I cannot connect, it says I need a connection to the Xbox Live Server. Anyone else getting this error message? Is it my router or just a problem w/ XB1?

Everyone here tweet ronnie2k and link him this thread. I did, and mentioned its a global issue. No response but if he gets hundreds of tweets, they might rush the so called devs to fix this issue. How could they not anticipate stuff like this?

Playstation users are lucky that we can make another account and still play online, but xbox users don't have that luxury. And people that have spent hours playing this game aren't going to want to start over. So no way people make new accounts just for one game.

Despite a large patch that was delivered to NBA 2k14 on PlaytStation 4 and Xbox One before Christmas, the game is still encountering server problems. According to 2K's Ronnie 2K, the devs are hard at work trying to get the game to run properly.
Unfortunately, there aren't many official details about what is being done or what is happening, outside of a recent tweet from Ronnie 2K.

Dev continues to actively work on server concerns. Will update you when I know more.

The recent patch, which was made available on December 19, addressed a huge list of problems that players had been encountering. You can see the full list of patch notes here. A search on twitter for the words 'NBA 2k14' and 'server' shows a number of recent tweets from players lamenting their problems with the game's online functionality.
Despite the game's server issues, NBA 2K14 is still the best NBA game on the market. You can read our review here.

Our Take
NBA 2k14's online issues are disappointing, especially considering how integral the online functionality is to many aspects of the game. Unfamiliarity with new hardware can certainly be blamed for some of the game's issues, but the game has been out for more than a month, and I can imagine the disappointment of players who aren't able to take full advantage of their new Christmas present consoles.

I have not been able to connect to the 2K servers for two days (XBOX One). All I want to do is play MY GM.

What is going on with the servers?

This is my big worry too, I've been posting about it all day. I'm only three cards away with 10k VC and enough MT to buy a pack.

Same here, man. Only need 4-5 more players to finish all of the historic teams, and also only 6 more stars to 3 star every Domination game. I really hope I don't have to start all of that over again.
