It is a load balancing issue. You will be down when the west coast comes online as well as afternoon European players. (Because I believe all servers are in the US)
I estimate issues starting at 2pm EST and really hitting hard around 7pm EST.Comment

For what it's worth, and this seems to be the consensus...
I was able to play MyCareer last night between 9:30 and 10:30 PM EST last night with no issues at all. Entered a locker code for 5,000 VC with no issues too.
But, right before I went to bed, I thought I'd try MyTeam real quick. It got to the point where it showed my team's logo, but then I got the "can't connect to 2k servers" message. Oddly, had to close it out 3 times before it would let me back to the main menu.
So, thankfully MC seems to be running a lot better at least, but I've still had zero luck getting back into MT since the issues started up.Comment

I am in NY. Was able to play some MyTeam yesterday (50 - 60% of the day it was letting me play online). This morning, I got on very early at like 7:30 and it was running smoothly. It seems like things are starting to stabilize. However, like another post above says, it might only be because the volume of people trying to get on has lessened. Nevertheless, I was able to play Jan 1 2014 for a small majority of the day!Comment

MyTeam has been working really well for me, domination works I got 3 stars and got all 3 packs. Finding a Road 2 Playoffs game was quick but it kinda lagged. Nonetheless it works as well as it did before Christmas.Comment

I'm still unable to play a MyTeam game. Every time I try to play a game it sits there and loads for a minute and nothing happens. The mode loads up real fast, but it just doesn't want to start a damn game. Tried both RTTP and Domination and nothing loads.Comment

Likewise: I can't start a MyTEAM game now. This morning I was able to play a couple games, but after the second game, I got no MT points or stars at all. More wasted contracts.

Played a game of domination earlier against the Nets. Finished the game and went back to the main menu of MyTeam, didn't give me any stars or any packs, or any MT points. So annoying, this game is going to be sold if it's not fixed by the weekend.Comment
