Of course its not worth it.

The irony is they want to preserve the integrity of multiplayer but then allow people to buy a 99.

The bottom line is the monetisation of VC. That is why we cant play online.

They won't though. bIasGN is probably in their pocket.

Either that or they have the worst journalists in the industry.

Wow, a double entendre AND irony.

I think it was the ridiculous irony of him telling people to take what Pasta says with a grain of salt due to his bias. That's f'ing rich coming from him.

Guy doesn't even have the game but has to inject himself in to the conversation. Especially since Pasta was spot on, so no in this case don't take what he said with a grain of salt, and if Spank actually had the game he would have known that, although he'd undoubtably defend the game blindly anyway.

This. I am playing the simple single season mode which really doesn't need VC. I don't care about VC (although I find it to be a detriment to the game), I just want to be able to play my season.

                Long overdue.

Also, perhaps they should give the current guys new lines to recite or hire a pair of somewhat likeable PR representatives that don't come off as patronizing robots. If they're trying to sate fans and quell the noise, the guys they have now aren't really doing them any favors. At all.

I remember he tried to make a big deal out of OJ Simpson being on a team named the Assassins in All Pro Football, a game that already had a lot going against it without NFL licensing. I don't know if he changed his tune over the years as I lost interest in football gaming gradually after post-NCAA/NFL exclusivity, but as a long-time gamer it doesn't surprise me he's piling on the negativity bandwagon.
You sound about as bad as that Keith guy who posts on Pastas site. I'm sick of this "he's shown a bias against 2k Sports games" nonsense. As long as he's knocking the other company, guys like you are fine with it. When he calls 2k out for releasing a shoddy product it's "oh,he's got a bias against them." give me a break.

Gamespot and IGN are such a joke. Most popular out of the gate nextgen launch doesn't work for the whole holiday week, and they can't be bothered.

They write empty breathless previews and reviews to grab the traffic and game publisher advertising dollars and then. . . crickets. Same every year.

Point blank 2k were feeling themselves a lil to highly. Notice how these changes were made after NBA live tanked terribly in reviews and customers.

Well, after a week of this crap, I went out yesterday and bought a copy of NBA Live 14 for the Xbox One. I know everyone's reaction to the game has been pretty negative, but it sounds like the patches incoming are making the game slowly better.

Hey, at least I can play it - more than I can say for 2K's game right now.

                                And now IGN woke up:

It goes through the ongoing problems, and concludes:

2K continues to be vague regarding any future update that will solve the "known issue," and problems persist as of this writing, with MyTeam mode failing just this morning.

2K didn't provide a comment when contacted by IGN, but we'll continue to reach out and will update this story with any additional information we receive.
They also threw in a little CYA along the way:

None of these problems were present during IGN's pre-release review experience, surfacing only after the game's release, and mounting steadily since then.
They even mention the retailers offering refunds.
