At least Madden isn't microtransaction-mania. Madden's only problem is lack of competition which leads to lack of innovation. The gameplay improves bit by bit each year, even if not to mosts standards. And I know Madden has real small microtransactions like making a player come out of retirement or something related to MUT, but it is NOT comparable to 2K in that regard.

It really breaks my hear to see where 2k went with this game. They lied to us, they mislead us, and they have stolen from us. And there really isn't a good alternative thanks to Live stinking up a storm. I really wish EA put out a good Basketball product. They had the perfect chance to step up and regain their status of at least relevance, but they blew it. Now we are basically forced to play NBA 2K14 that we can't actually even play.

There are really simple things that 2K did which really makes me wonder if they thought about the consumer, or even used common sense. Really, we have to use our VC to change rotations? We need to be online to play MyGM & MyCareer? It costs 7500 VC to get a pair of shoes, which is over 10 MyGM games on 12 minute quarters. You can't even save your own rosters onto your HDD?

I've just about had it with 2k and their antics. If I knew 2k wasn't going to release an outstanding product which was assumed by pretty much everyone else on these forums, I wouldn't have even spent my money on my PS4 and bought it on release day. If I find out any of this ridiculousness is in 2K15, I'm done with this game, whether Live is good or not.

Still can't load a custom roster in MyGM. When I search for one about 90% of the time it can't find any, but when it does and I load it, it goes through all the process and takes me to start the mode. When I check the roster of my team it is still the default.

I can only use custom rosters in Quick Game.

PS4 - I can access my save and play MyCareer, but I can't access the Champs store or buy anything with VC. I'm fine with that for now, at least I can play my save and it'll actually SAVE when Im' done with it.

So, I am at a loss right now. Let me explain and please let me know if you have experience this as well. This comes from a longtime 2k'er since the days of NBA and NFL 2k5. I am well aware of 2k's "server history".

So, first, last night I am in the middle of MyGM with my Pacers. I have a custom roster and custom sliders which make for great gameplay on the court. Every game feels like a battle just like it should. The part that is beyond frustrating is when I get the credit for playing the game, I go to spend it on on upgrading MyGM. It says I purchase what upgrade I want, but "cannot connect to 2k servers and you will now be returned to the main menu." So, I think to myself okay, one time, I can deal with that. No, this happend 3 more times. I easily lost 3 to 4,000 of earned VC from playing and didn't get it back. At that point, I just shut it off pissed as all heck and jumped on here to post in the official 2k servers down thread I was so irritated. The sad thing is as I said in that post, I don't get mad about these things and I hardly ever post. But, the server issue irritated me so much that I had to post in order to vent properly.

So, today, I read the boards here until I see that it's working agian for some people. I think okay cool, I'll go play another game or two. Just wait, it gets better...

I log on and BAAM! It asks me to create a new MyPlayer. Where is the one I had?? I am saying to myself okay, but my MyGM progress better not be gone... lucky me, however, most of it is...I say most of it because I go into MyGM and I still am able to use my current team, roster, sliders, progress, but ALMOST EVERY SINGLE UPGRADE I HAVE PURCHASED IS GONE both MyGM related and BUSINESS. I have easily spent upwards of 50,000 VC on upgrades from my time playing. This is why I am posting right now. Now, do I sit around and play 2k all day? No, I work a full time job, and am married with kids. My time with 2k is slim and is supposed to feel fun, relaxing, and enjoyable. I dont play online, quick games, or my player. I am an association person and if MYGM is what it is going to be from here on out, then so be it.

That said, I would like to who at 2k had the brilliant idea to incorporate saving to 2k servers as a requirement to play MYGM like it is supposed to be played???? Furthermore, why do this if 2k has a sketchy history with it's servers being consistantly good??? It needs to be fixed yesterday. I know 2k support is working on it, but it is an understatement to say it was a really poor business decision to make servers manditory to the overall experience. Bring back the ability to save progress on individual consoles... I am beyond irritated that all that work I put in is gone. Do I really have to create a new MyPlayer and put in all that work again to get back to where I was? I can't even begin to explain how much that makes me want to throw the game out the window. I don't want to do that, because the gameplay is good but this server FUBAR mess is ruinning my experience when I cannot play the mode I want in the way it is intended.

And yes, I did create a new myplayer (had to twice from being kicked out due to servers) and had a new MyGM and what's weird is I had my purchases previously under my old MyGM from the training section saved up through level 7, but everything else was gone. Explain that...

I tried to purchase more upgrades and lost more VC just like last night...after that I gave up. I am not going to play again until I have confirmation that the servers are working like they should or we have the ability to save on personal consoles. I would also like to reimbursed for my VC lost through locker codes for 50,000 VC at the least.

I just tried playing on my PS4 for the first time in a few days. Everything started fine and I was able to spend some VC in MyPlayer mode, but after I upped some stats I got kicked back to the main screen and was at the create-a-player screen. I went back to the PS home page and closed the game. I'll try again tomorrow.

I have not been able to play MyCareer or MyGM for 6 days. When I click on it it bumps me back to the starting Blue page. 2K wont even respond to me in over a week

I had these server problems for about 3 days. But starting yesterday morning at 5 am I was fully connected and playing MyCareer. Last time I played was a few minutes ago 2 am through 4 am. Hopefully it works later in the afternoon.

10 games for 7500 VC? What difficulty are you playing on? I played on Pro for the first 20 games in my season and I got 1K+ every game. I took a notch down to the easiest setting where now I only get half of the VC I would get on Pro.

That being said VC sucks, every accessory is overpriced but you have your endorsement in MyCareer for Nike vs Jordans. Choose the one you like and you can get all of their shoes for free.

I don't play online much but I did try out the MyPlayer Park thing. It was laggy and there were only like 14 people on. 14!!!!! No way that should be laggy. Also everyone was dressed the same...EXACTLY the same! Other than that MyCareer seemed fine for me except for the fact my clothes we always the bland brown shirt and sweatpants even though I set it to my suit. Minor flaw but still a flaw nonetheless

I was able to play a online match with friends but there was severe input lag. I press a button nothing would happen for about a second

Trying to play in The Park on XBOX One last night was near impossible. Games wouldn't start, although everyone was standing there waiting to play, and when you finally did get in a game, you would get disconnected before the game was finished. Seriously, 2K servers have been crap for YEARS, why won't they address this?

I spent about $600 on xbox one I got nba2k and I cant PLAY 2k better give me something for this im so pissed off they should of never sold this game if it DONT WORK

Worked for me yesterday, now my myCareer save file says 79 sf instead of pg and crashes when loading. Also it the load up screen says starring ********************** instead of a name.
