How hard is it for you guys to write a code for the A.I to box out

This **** has been happening now since man landed on the moon and you guys still haven't perfected it. 9/10 games, the CPU will dominate me on the second chance buckets (at least a 10+ differential). It gets so frustrating because I tend to play on-ball defense hence I don't have 4 other controllers to control the other guys. I'm finding that I am now controlling my bigs on defense more just so that we don't give up the offensive board as well as providing 'help defense'- something that is non-existent in the A.I's mind. Also, why is it that whenever I block a shot, the CPU immediately gets the ball back whilst my defenders are just staring at the loose ball. The ball physics are kind of lame too. So many instances where you dribble the ball and it gets knocked loose because you either bumped into the defender or the defender just runs past you and his knees knock the ball. The A.I also doesn't seem to understand the meaning of 'switch' when defending the pick-n-roll. And why do the perimeter defenders 70% of the time leave shooters open especially when they try to provide unnecessary help defense or do something smart like guarding an invisible man. Furthermore the movement of the ball is so slow at times. I remember when Batum stole the ball from one end of the court and tried to pass down the other end for the fast break and the defender (Kendrick Perkins) was as running as fast as the ball travelling towards Matthews. I also hate it when you dribble and then you kind of get sucked into this awkward animation where the defender bumps you out of the way which then stops your dribble.

Okay enough rant. And for the record, I'm playing on All-Star/Simulation.
NBA 2K14 is like a hot girl you meet, and after talking to her, you realise that she probably has half a brain.

Forgive me if you are because this Is just my assumption. If you are using Miami often, you should expect that to ablarge degree. Miami has been dead last in the NBA in rebounding since the 2011 season. Rebounding with them as a struggle just as it is in real life. Again that is just me assuming.

its been like this since i started playing 2k. the cpu ai is fine. they can box out and play great defense. but your own teams ai is like playing a pick up game with a bunch of five year olds. so its not a matter of not being able to write the code. its a matter of making it even on both sides.

It was based on my experience after playing about 15 different games, all using various teams. Just recently I played as the Blazers against the Thunder and I got outscored on the second chance points 22-8.

They successfully patched in box out\rebounding logic in 2k11, hasnt been the same since..

Rebounding is what turns the tides in a lot of games honestly..youll notice if you just bump it up about 5 in both categories things will even out. Unfortunately it's all we can do until they fix it.
