Patch on deck but now the black screen is worse. I had to close the app twice to get it to work.

I think 2K used 2K11's as the base for NexGen 2K14. A lot of the issues I saw with 2K11 I see in 2K14.

Installed patch and fixed mycareer corrupted file. Now after 1 night all files corrupted again.

One very noticeable improvement is player control on both offense and defense. There is less sliding and jerky movement. Very welcome change.

I can accept this as a final product for this year. We all know the bugs and mode breaking goofs, but if we're being honest - they won't be fixed. At least now you can play offline and have players that resemble agile, and nimble NBA athletes. It really changes the game.

Thankfully I have yet to have any of the problems on the forums. I mostly play online and I rarely drop games and there's no lag.

This was well before this patch, and I should mention I just got the game last month, but still...it's worked flawlessly, despite things I expect like the NBA Today not working sometimes, but my game works about 99%...

Played earlier and it felt different, but just in how the players felt heavier I guess...

For people still having issues try unistalling and reinstalling the game. 2k support said that would fix all corrupted file issues after update. I wish I knew this originally but whatever. I deleted both corrupted files now.

After playing one quarter of a game, I noticed 2 or 3 and-ones, 2 charges and 2 or 3 loose-ball fouls. The players also seem less quick (quickness and speed at 50) and seem to stay on their man more easily. It appears that 2K has done more with this patch than what the patch notes suggest. I will play more and see if I see the same positive results. So far, so good. Liking the patch.


Played a half of ball with Raptors(me) at 6ers. Noticing that the paint gets more congested with defenders, thus, help-d is improved. Saw a total of 3 block in the half so that also seems to be toned down. Noticed contact jumpshots falling and an and-one jumper. This was on all-star sim. I don't play online so I have nothing but positives to say about this patch. Good job 2K.

Id say my slider set was rendered useless because it seemed to throw the game out of wack. The movement was different, I couldn't hit many shots myself (although the cpu did) a ton of more fouls especially trying to get steals, and as you said they were slower and the defense wasn't giving anything in the paint, it was also hard for me to get any rebounds on defense.

I played at Golden State as the Clippers and was up by a few points until late in the 4th where Iggy and Steph just went off on me and the arena went nuts. I for whatever reason couldn't stop Steph from getting inside, couldnt block any of his shots or negate him, but I believe after that is when I started over on the slider bit.

I immediately took OKC at home and went to work on the GSW and blew them out by about 25...absolutely went off on them with KD and Lamb and Jackson.

Going to have to see what the AI is doing now because that first game took me off guard and I got ate up.

Ever since the patch came out i get the black screen constantly sometimes i wait 10 mins doesn't work..repeat doesn''t work until the 5th time

like i said whenever they put out a patch a bigger problem comes up

I am noticing one major negative so far, and that's my inability to beat my defender. I'm sure a slider tweak will change this. Hopefully, at least.

Yep, as far as I'm concerned, the structure of the game is broken beyond what any patch can correct. Hopefully, @k gets back to basics next year.

They were running an offense but since they were down curry just went off.

I had to laugh because it's something I've seen before but I think my sliders crippled me because I couldn't do much defensive that I could before plus I boosted the country offensive and defensive awareness to 70... This is on pro btw.


I'm sure our sliders affected some stuff differently but they just exploded and with my PX4s on the audio was bliss
