Kobe is always a free agent for me too, but Ive never really paid attention to where he ends up. I think I saw him with the Celtics once.

I don't have a problem with the Big 3 and Melo opting out. That might realistically happen. What I have a problem with is LeBron signing with a small/medium market team. Let's be honest, if he ever leaves Miami, he's headed to a place like LA, Chicago, New York/Brooklyn or Cleveland. I think it's highly unlikely he ever leaves Miami, but if he does, it's either mega market or Cleveland. Same goes for Melo. Kobe shouldn't sign with anyone but the Lakers, that does bother me.

Overall I just wish we had 30 team control back. I'm not gonna use it to cripple teams, in fact, it makes the whole Association experience much more in depth.

So you want to prevent the cpu from making the moves they choose, and make all the decisions for them, yet you don't consider that "crippling"?

Come on man. You make this argument in every my GM thread but you fail to acknowledge how terrible the CPU logic. I get it, since youre playing only as a GM then you should only have control over team affairs and not have any input into other teams decisions. Which should work out fine in theory. But obviously its a terrible premise in actuality because CPU will obliterate their teams with terrible personnel choices like the infamous CP3 to the Cavs thing that happened to so many people. The CPU logic in my GM ends up harming teams more often than benefiting them. There is no reason for instance why the Kings would sign Dwight Howard and have Cousins plays as a 6th man off the bench. Yet that happened in my GM because the CPU logic is so flawed. It cant process decisions the way that humans can obviously. Theres no sense of rationality with the CPU. Thats why we need 30 team control.

Is the CPU logic flawed? Sure, in some aspects, but the solution is not to cheat and make every decision for them just because you don't like what they do. What's the point of playing a mode like this, when ur just going to manufacture every decision your opponent wants to make and control everything?

No one is talking about manufacturing decisions and controlling everything. Its about damage control. If a team trades a young prospect for an aging role player or tries to acquire multiple players at a position of strength, you should have the ability to essentially veto or undo such moves via 30 team control. I dont see how thats cheating when trade vetos happen in real life ie the CP3 trade.

How often in league history have vetos happen?

Also, ur not making any sense and are running in circles, when you have control of everyone, you are manufacturing everything, stop trying to hide behind it, it's unfair to the CPU and cheating, and against the spirit of the game mode

And btw, how is changing CPU teams decisions cheating? Cheating is using a process to create an inherent advantage. This is about quality control and regulation and make sure franchises are putting themselves in a position to achieve their goals.

Vetoes and rejected trades happen a lot more often than you realize. Look at this summer when the league blocked Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce being traded to the Clippers. Every trade in the NBA undergoes an approval process. And how many personnel decisions are reversed due to things such ad collusion or tampering. The league has a regulation process in check. We should have the same in My GM.

Second of all, you make no sense. At no point am I running in circles. I think Im pretty clear whem I say the whole point of controlling CPU teams isnt to be unfair, but to keep them from making illogical decisions due to their lack of human logic and rationality.

I've never played Association but I'm curious, on last gen when 30-team control was an option, would the "CPU"-controlled teams propose trades? How's that possible if you're controlling all of them?

Haha. I guess its because theres no answer to his question. Theres no way to stop Lebron from going to the 76ers or Carmelo from going to the Suns. The only option we had before was manual 30 team control but we dont have that anymore. I guess thats one of the reasons people are so grumpy.
