Also, substitution issues, foul trouble (committing 2 fouls in 1st qtr brings you the bench while committing the 5th early in the 3rd, you're still on the court!), "get the lead down to 5 pts" are some of the issues that for me left a sour taste.

Great right up! Excellent points by OS'ers too. This MC started my curiosity going back to NBA 2k11, 13 and 14. I stopped playing NBA after 2k5. The intention of 2k to write up a "script" for this mode is great idea...but somehow with poor execution. It seems that the game is "forcing" you to play pre-sets goal like Free Throw and Jump shots. I mean you don't have to missed tons of shots to get into these practices. You can be inspired to do it by the encouragement of the coach or your teammates and then you can have the option to do it or not.

They need to overhall how players improve. Buying attributes is BORING!! I'd like to see a gradual progression of skill through in-game or in-practice experience. This can then be accelerated by a true offseason in which we can hire various trainers for not only our skillset but also our player's bodies, bulking them up or sliming them down depending on the playing style that WE choose.Comment

The ability to sim any game. Get rid of the whole Key game only stuff. A more open branching story line, it's currently way too linear right now.Comment

Chris, nearly all the things you wish were in the mode, are in the mode. You apparently just haven't played much MyCareer.
Poor article.
I do agree things should be skippable though.Comment

Re: NBA 2K: Fixing The Flaws With MyCareer
I had no idea you could do only key games after season 1 - good news, because I'm just past the all-star break averaging 41min per game and no way to sub out.Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment

Re: NBA 2K: Fixing The Flaws With MyCareer
Sliders are the most important addition that is needed. stop punishing the very people that buy your games. at least add sliders for offline mycareer modes.
gameplay must be customizable like every other sports game on the market before this game mode can be considered a viable and lasting experience.Comment

Let us control Substitutions and Playcalling from any position. My stinkin Hawks never substitute and lose all the time, even if I have amazing stats.Comment

Facial recognition would be nice , and the cutscenes wouldn't be so bad if at least they were different and more randomComment

Sitting through the same GM conversations over and over are a waste. I did like a poster' sides of giving the player freedom on Twitter.
I would like the ability to choose game uniforms for your team.
If the storyline is going to exist give me choices of voice. Nothing against the verbiage used but if I am to be immersed let me believe the player I created will talk as I do.What?Comment

Re: NBA 2K: Fixing The Flaws With MyCareer
Said this countless times before but get rid of the stupid forced gameplay scenarios (two missed FTs despite my timing being perfect) and goals that basically reward you for being a total ballhog (score 10 straight, or hit the last shot even if you're double teamed). And I could definitely do without the forced rivalry from the made up Jackson Ellis. I appreciate the dramatic cutscenes, but don't turn it into a cheesy B movie, they should supplement the gameplay, nothing more.Comment
