I dont care about the overalls.

My complaint is with the shooting ratings for some players like iggy.

The ability to shoot off the dribble. Shoot the three. Handle the ball and score off the bounce should be limited to fewer players. Not those that average 9 points a game and shoot 34 from three. Iggy should be highly rated overall because he can do alot of things.

But what he is not is a knockdown shooter and number one option who can score 25 a game.

^^^^^Wish we could use it online

Not really overalls but the individual ratings that lead to that higher overall especially offensively

And also, to the people saying Iggy should be downgraded, watch the Dubs play without him. Stats don't say everything, also, doesn't he have 3 game-winning buzzer-beaters this year?

It really doesn't matter what you (RE: a human) "can do" with a player, the ratings are absolutely NOT fine. They are an absolute mess, and have been for a couple (atleast) years now.

Another poster was right on: the shooting ratings are the worst part of the game. Hell, look no further than Tyreke Evans. He should be the poster child of what's wrong with the ratings in this game.

But hey, we got halftime interviews in the game, so who cares, right?

2K turns guy's like Pablo Prigioni into All-Stars. Don't get me wrong, good player, but the ratings turn him into a great player.

Well Iggy was shooting close to 40 last season and was on fire before his injury.

The automatic streak adjustment should have knocked him way down since but it doesn't seem to be powerful enough. It takes like a whole season of terrible performance to affect a stat 10 points at best or something.

Dragic definitely needs a boost. Cousins defensive awareness/rotations are actually pretty poor last I checked and overalls take into account both sides of the ball, but he probably needs a boost so long as he's properly rated in his weaknesses.

To be honest iggy isnt all that bad. He just got a easy jumper....but his handles arent great and he has no post game like lebron, melo, wade and even kd. Basically just run him off the three point line and force him to drive or take a mid range jumper.

Not that this really needs to be said but just remember ratings are based on ability, not stats. Players do different things on different teams, they may be a focus point of one team but move to a different role.

Ability wise Iggy is right where he should be, he's shooting almost 4 less shots a game this year, not because he's bad but because he's a 4th to 5th scoring option and his role is different wit the warriors, he has a good field goal percentage, he can pass, handle the ball, rebound, and look how much better defensively the warriors are this year, he's a big part of that. Stats don't tell you everything, some guys may need an increase but a guy like Cousins numbers may look nice, but someone has to fill that stat sheet up, he's on one of the worse teams in the league.

Ratings = ability, tendencies is how they play, what they do in the minutes they play, that's what really should be looked at for anyone that talking about the stats.

I agree with everything you said except for the fact that iggy is a career 33 percent from three and is almost right at his average this year. He is not a shooter. Additionally, he has been turning down a ton of open shots this year and has lost confidence in his shot.

My point was not that iggy is not a good player just that the shooting ratings are biased and not consistent with ability/shooting percentages.

Look at Westbrook he has one good shooting night and now he has an 80 three point rating while other who make more threes and shoot a better percentage have sub 80 ratings.

Lots of good points but even as a Warriors and Iggy fan, I do have to say his 3-point shooting was overrated-- mainly because the whole 3-point system is done incorrectly as it's based on raw FG% and not difficulty of shots or using wide open shots as a baseline FG% with modifiers or something. It's why Thompson was rated higher than Curry for awhile, and anyone who follows the Warriors knows that's ridiculous.

Iggy should probably have gotten an athleticism decrease based on his hamstring injury. Furthermore, he was just a little *too* good overall at the beginning of the season-- I could slash, drive, and finish with him like crazy, but then again, he does seem to finish with a high percentage in real life. Thing is, he just avoids bad situations and doesn't force up shots (actually he overpasses) and limits his attempts, so it's hard to say how to properly rate his interior offense.
