    Resetting MyGM Mode upgrades

I've seen this discussed very briefly but not in an actually dedicated thread. I've upgraded to the point where Jeremy Lin becomes a 99 after a season and a half. Obviously this is, scientifically speaking, dumb. So I've tried deleting all MYGM data, but have not found a way to un-tie my gamertag from the 2K cloud, which means MYGM mode is broken no matter what I do.

I've tweeted Ronnie2K and devs without response. Any ideas community?

What is the best way for us to play a realistic MYGM mode without "breaking" the mode.

Did you try making a new MyPlayer profile? You know like creating a new gm in features?

I don't see that as an option. I've deleted mycareer files, MyGM Files and when I go to manage my player it only gives me options to edit name and appearance am I missing how to delete and restart the game completely as new? One more disadvantage of the cloud?

Well you know if you drop Jeremy Lin's overall potential in your roster file then he won't become a 99...

I don't think 2k realizes that most of us DON'T want to have 99 overalls scattered all over our rosters in MyGM.

              Re: Resetting MyGM Mode upgrades

There is no doubt it has ruined the mode for me. If Jeremy Lin ends up being a 99 or a random rookie can be a 99 after a year or two then why do I even need to manage my team? I'll just stick random guys in and it's horrible.

I simmed three years with the Celtics starting Anthony Davis, Rondo and Kawai Leonard and went 81-1 in a sim season. Absolutely stupid. My top 7 players were 99 overall and 8-10 were 85+

Does anybody know how to Transfer my online myGM to offline? I go to a friends house every weekend, and he has no internet and i'd really like to be able to play it offline. I dont really care if I cant get it back online. You figure 2K would at least give us the option to save in the hard drive or the cloud.

Are you saying that MyGM upgrades carry over to a new MyGM if you start a brand new file? I've only had one MyGM so I honestly wouldn't know, so pardon my dumb question.

                            Re: Resetting MyGM Mode upgrades

I don't think there's a way to do this without creating a new gamertag, maybe.

This is a problem, and one I've tried to address somewhat with sliders, but if I go too far in that direction to prop up the CPU, gameplay becomes too extremely cheesy for the CPU. And that does nothing to address games you sim and don't play.

The MyGM upgrades, to your character and to the facilities, basically hack the game beyond all competitive realism. You can make trades and accumulate 20 first round draft picks after a few seasons even though your team loses only 3 per year and wins every Championship. Your roster is loaded with 99's with A+ potential and backups in the 80's.

If you have to dump a player whose rookie contract is ending because of your cap, you can send off your backup 24 year old 90 PG to a team with a 20 year old high first round rookie 82 center. Your trading partner may have a roster full of PG's, SG's, small SF's and one old PF and the rookie future star C, but they will happily thank you for taking their future star rookie center for the privilege of adding another young PG to the roster. And they'll throw in a first round pick if you want.

Any C+ young player you add to your roster becomes an A+ potential player, but if you trade him, he may revert to C+ on the other end, so what your trading partner thoguht was a rising star turns out to be just a guy with a 62 rating. Too bad he traded you his crown jewels to get him.

Playing MyGM after the upgrades means having to set rules for yourself and not doing all the things the game will now allow you to do. It becomes a compromise, but your team will not ever revert to mediocrity unless you purposely break it apart.

I should have been smart enough to not buy those upgrades. It has basically ruined the mode for me.
