They need to bring back individual defensive assignments but must tweak it so it doesn't become too cheesy like it was before.

I really want to ICE (or blue, black, red, kill as its referred to in other schemes) the PnR. So many teams, at least top defensive teams like Chicago, Indiana and Portland, run this scheme I'm dying a little inside with the inability to do so.

Here is the benefit of individual assignments for me.

POEs without defensive settings is unacceptable, period. It completely guts depth on the defensive side of the ball-- not to mention most of us didn't know what most of the POEs really did until after the all-star break.

We need to be able to scheme defenses not based only on generic POEs with the AI making questionable decisions, but to scheme for actual personnel of teams to the man.

So because you have to wait an extra 15 seconds for each online game you think that justifies having no defensive settings lol? I don't think that is a good reason.

There needs to be individual assignments and coach profiles on how to, at least, play pick and roll defense.

My guess is if you never took advantage of it before then you really have no idea what you were missing.

Kids that put everything to tight and deny are extremely easy to burn and that is probably the worst type of defense to play.
