Bigs have much slower animations, so you have to time them differently. I'm not saying there aren't still issues, I'm just saying timing is a huge factor. A PG jumps when you press the button, a PF or C jumps 2 seconds later.

Re: When will 2K fix REBOUNDING
The poor rebounding logic is compounded by a clunky and unresponsive movement system that has plagued 2k for quite some time now.
That and a myriad of other issues in relation to physics make this game unplayable for me.Cubs | Bulls | Dolphins | 'Noles

Re: When will 2K fix REBOUNDING
It's only with players over 6'11...
Try creating a 7'2 center for my career and put your rebounding up to 90 and you still can't grab em lol, I can easily get 12 blocks but have to battle to get 5 boards -__-I don't wanna be Jordan, I don't wanna be Bird or Isiah, I don't wanna be any of those guys.
I want to look in the mirror and say I did it my way.

Re: When will 2K fix REBOUNDING
The rebounding is awful.
Easily the worst in the 2K series and almost ruins the game for me. There are way too many long and drawn out animations
Watching your player get stuck in block animations while the CPU instantaneously reacts and collects their offensive rebound is easily the most frustrating thing I've seen.
I have several clips I'll upload later to show off just how awful the rebounding in this game.Comment

Rebounding in this game is a complete joke.Comment

Re: When will 2K fix REBOUNDING
i know we are talking about a video game but they do alot to make it reflect or emulate the real life game. rebounding is a very fast action, weather its on a pro court or a school yard. they really need to speed up those animations and make players more coordinated when it comes rebounding.
sometimes it looks like im watching 6 year olds playing ball they way everyones flopping around.
mabey add a option where if you hold L2 like you do on defense you hone in on the ball. with rebounding your launching yourself to the ball. its a quick twitch action. its not like a jump ball motion which is how this game seems to portray it. your not charging your jump.Comment

Re: When will 2K fix REBOUNDING
I said this in a different thread
take a closer @ the player rating
the majority of the players have a higher Offensive rebound rating over defensive rebound rating.
for example
off reb rating = 95
def reb rating 78
2k thinks an nba player grabs more offensive rebs than defensive reb.
the strengh rating also plays a part in rebounding too
& u have to remember CPU gets a hidden boost in most attributes depending on the difficultyLast edited by Chocolate Chip; 05-23-2014, 10:38 PM.Comment

Re: When will 2K fix REBOUNDING
Yeah terrible....I have a defensive center that can't rebound for **** but I can block shots easily...I guess that's something but god forbid if I went for a rebounding center as my player instead.Comment

Re: When will 2K fix REBOUNDING
I am not sure if its the patch or just getting used to big men more but I've been playing a lot with my 7'1 Athletic PF in MyCareer and ThePark. Last night I played a 5 on 5 in The Park where I had 7 rebounds and 7 dunks lol.
I changed my dunk packages also. Instead of the flashy uber athletic dunks or similar I changed to the "bigman" versions or quicker lower level dunks, then threw a few high level ones at the end. Less blocks on my dunks.
In the rebounding and blocking I feel like the timing is different from my PG. With the PF I feel like I am hitting rebound button almost right when the shot hits the rim instead of a little later and i'm having better success.
Blocks try to square up, use L2, I've even gotten a couple blocks just using the right stick up instead of using triangle and it doesn't make you jump 30 times high enough to block the ball with your knee but somehow unable to block.
Also I could be imagining things but last night in The Park it seemed like it was actually matching me up against another big man if the other team had one. Like it would put me on the PF or C. Before i'd be covering a PG and my teams PG would be guarding a center.
I don't know, like I said I could just be getting used to it more, or luck or imagination but that's been my experience recently... at least when 3/4 of the courts aren't bugged.Comment

Re: When will 2K fix REBOUNDING
That's because the only current player the designers have to compare to is the 7'2 Roy Hibbert. They must assume all 7'2 folks rebound like a toddler.Comment

Re: When will 2K fix REBOUNDING
And they make defensive centers slower than all-around with a lower vertical too, not sure how that makes sense. Just because your specialty is defense you're slow and can't jump?Comment
