Bad Attribute Caps in MyPlayer (and big men suck) :

When I type this title, I see other titles that are similar, but this one is not the same. I had planned to make this thread, so please listen.

There is a huge issue with myplayer attribute caps on 2k14. I haven't made every one, but I've done enough research to know, for instance, that my 6'10 defensive SF is better than any big man I could make. I even tried to make a 7'2 guy just for fun... he's terrible.

I can get 90 str on a SF, 90 defensive rebound. Along with 90 vert which has my dude's head above the rim on rebounds. This, along with the fact that big men can not secure the ball make them worthless if you want to take them to the park and play seriously.

Add Bullish signature skill, make a player with x Strength harder to strip on lay ups and shots, etc.

This is true with all caps and positions, but it is not as apparent as it is with bigs vs nearly-seven-foot SFs.

I agree, I wanted to play as a Center or Power Forward forever but I couldn't because the way that big men cannot rebound. They go for rebounds by lunging below their own shoulder level. This allows for absolutely everyone else to jump or actually put their hands above their head to catch the ball.

So I had to play as a 6'9" Small Forward for a better rebounding stat. BUT the problem with that is my PG MyCareer is much more capable at rebounding with a 60 or 65 Defensive Rebound stat, than my Small Forward who has an 85. Rebounding is just very strange.

Boxing out is inconsistent and going up for a rebound can result in your player missing the ball completely.

Oh we're talking about rebounding? How about sg and pg have the same speed cap. Or how about handling on a pg is only 2 points higher to be able to get ankle breaker level 3 which doesn't even work. But a sg can have a 70 block rating while a sf has a cap of 75? Oh! I got one! A pg can have the same dunk rating as a sg but a sf gets the same too? Matter of fact every position has the same dunk cap?
Oh, pf can have a 3 of 85 but a center gets 70? Let's not forget that bigs can have an 80+ handling and ball security? And a pg and sg only get steal ratings of 90?

Basically, stat caps are all jacked.

If you're under 7'0, rebounding works just fine for bigmen

I play with a 6'10 PF and while it's not AS bad... It's still pretty broken. Given how well I position myself i should be averaging 20+ rebounds, but my guy only decides to jump for half of them.. I believe I'm averaging 11 or 12 rebounds.

You can argue how those numbers are realistic, but I look like the second coming of Bill Russell seeing how well I get into position.. The game just refuses to give me the boards.
          MyTeam:

          PG: Russell Westbrook/Stephen Curry/Gary Payton
          SG: '91 Michael Jordan/Monta Ellis/Diamond Kobe
          SF: LeBron James/Julius Erving
          PF: Blake Griffin/'98 Tim Duncan
          C: Bill Russell/1994-95 Shaq

And why would a pass-first PG have stats for ball-handling and passing capped at 92? There aren't even gear items that can be purchased to raise them, like with some stats. Why would they even have ratings that supposedly go to 99 when the exact players that should be able to get those ratings can't get above 92? How does that even make sense.

I got a 6'11 PF and I rarely have any problems with that. Sometimes one of my teammates steals the rebound or I can't grab it but that's it. It used to be easier to grab rebounds in previous 2k's though.
