One of our OS brethren that was there said there was no 2k on display so maybe that part was behind the scenes I dont know.

The guy who recorded said he got in because of work (not sure what he does) but he was posting all kinds of pics and vids. They had a life size batmobile from the new game there too that he took video of.

Because they literally do that every year for the Finals.

I swear you guys have the memories of a tick. I generally don't expect anything 2K related at E3 because they NEVER show at E3 outside of 2K12 and 2K14 and you'll notice the only reason those two were there was because Kobe was apart of the Sony conference to show off the Playstation Move integration of 2K12 and 2K14 was one of the PS4 launch titles. Every other game we pretty much don't get any information until Gamescom and the Tokyo Game Show.

If you've been around here long enough, you'll know our first 2K15 screenshot will come from some gaming website in Spain or South America. They've got all the connections.

lol, and of course you speak nothing to what I said not being true. I was talking more about the general atmosphere on this and other game forums. The fact is, many of you HAVE said they don't want the 2K marketers around - I didn't make that up. I stopped reading the forum myself because the rhetoric had become so hyperbolic and over the top, with the class action lawsuit threats, Better Business Bureau filings, etc. Threads needing to remind people how atrocious the game is, then you read the content of the post and probably 90% of the time it's about some online experience they just had, playing the game some 8 months after it released. But it's supposed to be so unplayable and an affront to someone's sensibilities it requires a lawsuit to be filed.

So forgive me when I laugh at people wanting to call 2K liars and worse saying they only purchased the game because of marketing (not taking responsibility themselves) on one hand, but then talk out of the side of their neck begging for the hype machine out of the other. Imo the forum becomes it's own worst enemy with all the micro-analyzing and I-need-my-every-concern-addressed attitude. 2K could put out a video and you'd see tons of responses like "I didn't like the rebound/pass/shot that occurred at the 4:24 mark. Why isn't a dev responding to say it will be addressed!!!? Since they're not saying anything, must mean they aren't going to fix it. No buy.". Sadly that's not even that much of an exaggeration. We haven't seen so much as a screenshot from the game and already some feel the need to declare their decision not to purchase the game. Which is their right; I personally find it hilarious.

2k to popular for their own good due to EA messing up. the only hype we gonna get is from twitter DIAMOMD DURANT post . they are catering to casuals that just buy a game because its popular not because of the quality of the title. This started with 2k12 and its not ending anytime soon

DMarketing correctly is only gonna effect the bottom line, not the customers sanctification. You'll have plenty to critique in October.

Customer satisfaction DIRECTLY affects the 'bottom line'.

Unsatisfied customers DO NOT buy a product they don't like forever.

That's basic economics.

Is your refrigerator FILLED with food you absolutely hate?

Do you own a smartphone you cannot stand?

Do you run out & buy video games you despise?

Of course not.

2K normally doesn't show its new NBA game at e3 so there's nothing strange.
2k usually doesn't show much this early in the summer.

People sound surprised. We all know how it goes. Ronnie tweets something minuscule about the gameplay in June, we get a fact sheet in July, Gamescom in August, September is gameplay, and October we're in gamestop. lol

It's rare that I find myself in total agreement with you but I've got admit that asking for the 'hype machine' to begin is pretty silly. Don't worry, it will start soon enough.

Me discussing 2K at E3.... has absolutely nothing to do with YOUR group of "folks who do not want 2K marketers around".

You just started complaining about OTHER folks who complain about the game.
