Re: NBA 2K15 Official MyLEAGUE/MyGM Thread
Bucks, but that might be easy too, most bottom tier teams have some picks and or space and assets.Which team do you guys think is the hardest team to rebuild with? I tried a rebuild with Philly, it was too easy due to cap space and draft picks. Tried it with Sacramento but Cousins is too dominant and Gay plays better in games than he does IRL.
Anyone got a suggestion?
Maybe Lakers? They have nothing but Randle honestly.Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 Official MyLEAGUE/MyGM Thread
That's an easy rebuild. Waive Hill's team option and trade Young and you have big bucks to spend. I did that and got this team. Also they have top5 protected pick. If you try really hard...you might end up without that pick.
Playing with Lakers.
Simmed first season because they are ****. Worst winning percentage in the league...4th in the lottery. Traded HOU 2015 1st rounder + Nash for Dragić. I noticed that there was a good wing, a playmaker and a center available at number one in the draft. So naturally I was bummed because I really wanted one of them. Since the 2015 pick is top 5 protected I gave it to myself. Drafted center as he was the only one available of the 3.
Traded Young and Hill to contenders for salary dump so I could have max cap space come off-season. And so I did have 39-ish mil dollars. Signed Love to 82/4, signed Dragić to 69/5 and signed Demarre Carroll for 1 year deal which is basically MLE level(5.5). Also signed Lin using Bird rights to 15/3. He regressed because he was out for 50+ games last year. Totally missed on this. Hopefully he doesn't regress further or I will have to trade him. Also acquired Aminu from the trade last year and he's alright all-around defender and rebounder.
Derped out because I did not sign Clarkson back whom I wanted to re-sign. And now I used MLE and can't sign anyone except those 50-60 rated rookies and scrubs. Signed Kerr as Head Coach and added some 80s and 90s plays for my team (some triangle actions, mostly horns, euro motion and floppy plays). Also signed Paul Pierce as my Assistant Coach.
Am currently 4-2 in the league.
Roster
PG: Dragić(83) / Lin (75)
SG: Kobe(83) / Carlson - undrafted rookie to fill the roster (55 - IR)
SF: Aminu(75) / Carroll (74) / White - second rounder, 20years old (63 - IR)
PF: Love (86) / Randle (81) / Kelly (73 - IR)
C: Ciro Ramirez, 23 year old center (81) / Sacre (70 - IR) / Jukic - 1st round pick (64 - IR)Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 Official MyLEAGUE/MyGM Thread
Just finished out December in my Bucks MyLeague. Was a up and down month, was close to having a 4 game losing streak to end the month but I got an 10-8-14 upset win over the Cavs to close the month out at 17-16 which has me as the 8th seed out East. Here's my player's stats heading into the new year:

Jabari and Giannis are pretty much carrying the team for me. Parker has won rookie of the month for Nov/Dec. Middleton is also having a nice little season shooting 48% from three. Really want to re-sign him this summer. Hopefully January will be a more consistent month for me.Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 Official MyLEAGUE/MyGM Thread
Did a test run with the Knicks, we were the 7th seed all the way up until the last few days of the season and fell out of the playoffs. I'm preparing for FA, to see if I can get Marc Gasol and Jimmy Butler to come and the owner tells me to get rid of Melo lol. He was tired of his negative morale so the draft came and this is the trade I did out of realism:
Knicks trade Carmelo Anthony and Jose Calderon to the Blazers for Nicolas Batum, Allen Crabbe, Meyers Leonard, and the 22nd pick.Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 Official MyLEAGUE/MyGM Thread
I was 9-14 with Cleveland. Lebron is out another 4-6 weeks with an injury. Im hanging on. I squeaked 3 wins over middle ranked teams to go to 12-14.
Then I dropped a heartbreaker to Boston. 3 of my tieing shots rolled out in the last few seconds. Then lost to Toronto 102-93.
Cue a panic trade.
I sent JR Smith, my Knicks 1st rounder and Montrez Harrell (21st pick) to San Antonio For Danny Green and Aron Baynes.Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 Official MyLEAGUE/MyGM Thread
Haven't made too many posts in this year's thread... I'm in the 2016-2017 season of MyLeague with the Jazz. Gordon Hayward is a 2x All-Star, Rudy Gobert and Derrick Favors are the best defensive frontcourt in the league, Dante Exum is emerging as a top point guard in the league on both ends, Rodney Hood is a three-and-D starter at SG, and Alec Burks and Trey Burke come off the bench averaging over 10+ points a game each.
My first season, Gordon Hayward made his first All-Star game and All-NBA team (2nd team) by averaging 20.3 PPG, 7.4 RPG, 4.4 APG, and 1.9 SPG while shooting 43.8% from the field and 38.2% from three. Favors regressed that season offensively while he struggled getting touches with Enes Kanter, Alec Burks, Hayward, and Burke starting with him. We missed the playoffs and finished 11th in the West.
The 2015-2016 season a successful one. Dante Exum took over the starting point guard job from Trey Burke, Rodney Hood moved to the starting shooting guard spot, and Rudy Gobert took over the starting center role after Enes Kanter left town for Portland in restricted free agency. Burke and Burks combined for an average of 24 PPG off of the bench, while Trevor Booker and new addition Andray Blatche were a formidable frontcourt duo behind Favors and Gobert. Hayward continued his development towards stardom, as he averaged a career-high 21.8 PPG, 8.0 RPG, 4.0 APG, 1.9 SPG, and 0.9 BPG. He made his second All-Star team but did not make an All-NBA team. Favors got his offensive groove back, as he averaged 14 and 9 alongside Gobert, who averaged 8 and 10. Both were near 2 blocks a game.
We made the 5th seed in the West with a 51-31 record while fielding one of the top offenses in the league. In the first round, we lost to the Clippers in six, as Griffin went off for 50 to end our season. In the offseason, we targeted a defensive big to come off of the bench and found Kendrick Perkins for cheap, as well as veteran Andrei Kirilenko, who resurrected his career with the Grizzlies as a defensive specialist.
At the start of the season, the Mavericks had a firesale due to their recent struggles, as they traded away Nowitzki to the Pistons for a rookie with high upside and Otto Porter. Utah took advantage of this firesale to nab Tyson Chandler away from Dallas, sending the Mavericks Perkins and Golden State's 1st round pick.
So, Utah's current lineup:
PG: Dante Exum (83)
SG: Rodney Hood (78)
SF: Gordon Hayward (88)
PF: Derrick Favors (86)
C: Rudy Gobert (81)
Bench:
Alec Burks, SG (80)
Trey Burke, PG (78)
Tyson Chandler, C (76)
Andrei Kirilenko, PF (78)
Wesley Duncan, SF (68)
Tyson Jensen, SG (69)
Sydmill Ricks, PF (67)
Steve Novak, SF (68)
Scooter Black, PG (66)
Depth is still a bit of a problem, but I'm hoping that some of the young guys can develop. Jensen is a decent combo-guard that is practically a three-point specialist. Novak is still a great three-point shooter, but he's just the worst defender on the game. Duncan is a Kirilenko-esque defender, as he's long and lanky but not much offensive game yet. Ricks is an undersized PF with rebounding prowess, and Black is a career-reserve guard.
Currently 13-5 with the best record in the West. Hayward is averaging a career-high 24.8 PPG, along with 7.5 RPG, 3.9 APG, and 1.5 SPG. Exum is at 16.7 PPG, 4.2 RPG, 7.8 APG, and 1.8 SPG. Favors is at 14 and 11 with a steal and 1.5 blocks per game. Gobert is at 8 and 10.5 with 2 blocks a game. Burks is at 12 a game, Burke at 10 and 4 a game, and Hood at 10.3 per game.
We have the second best offense in the league at 107.0 PPG, and a top 10 defense at 97.1 PPG. We lead the league in rebounds, as to be expected, as well as blocks. We're in the bottom 5 when it comes to three point percentage, though, so I may have to look into getting a capable shooter some minutes.Twitter: @TyroneisMaximus

Guys, is it possible to buy-out players? Got Joe Johnson in my Knicks but want to have flexibility going forward. He is still on a 2 year contract. What happens if I press "release to free agency"? Has anybody tried yet?Comment

Yeah, it was strange. He was around a 76 when he was with Brooklyn, where he played decently. Went to Memphis to start at small forward with them, played 30 minutes a night and averaged 7.4 PPG, 6.2 RPG, 3.3 APG, and a steal and block a game while shooting over 50% from the field and from three.
Became a free agent, saw him at a 77, signed him for a 1 year deal at $3M, and he's up to a 78 playing 20 a night. Pretty awesome.Twitter: @TyroneisMaximus
