Good write up Aquaman_OS. I really didn't have much of a problem with the increase in 90 overall players because the majority of them were guys who were rated in the high 80's anyway, so I don't think there will be that much of a difference.

Some of the trades were concerning, but I simmed the first season with trade approval turned off. With it on you will be able to catch anything that you don't want to go through. I also simmed with everything at default. Once people start getting the game and doing more sims, then hopefully we can nail down a sweet spot for most of them.

I expected that the real players models wouldn't change so I'm not too upset about that. However, I'm disappointed that we can't change add headbands or change the look of 2k's prospects... Although, that shouldn't be a problem since I won't be using 2k's draft classes anyway.

I'm really looking forward to diving into this mode once draft classes are released. With things like the manual injury system, the ability to edit players ratings mid-franchise, multi-team control and the ability to intervene in games this is a dream come true to me. The gameplay so far is tough too. I'm hoping to grab the 8th seed with my Celtics, but since I haven't won a game yet (using decent teams in Quick Games), then it's going to be really tough. I cannot wait to get started.

Started Myleague with the Hornets because they have the BEST court in the game. Unfortunately I can't find where to assign player roles for the life of me

Wait, I thought you could edit the draft classes this year? Can you at least change their names? I love to make the draftees look pretty funny sometimes, so not being able to edit appearances is kind of a bummer.


Could I just create my own draft class and do that, or what?

Man. I really wish 2K would restructure the draft. I have been playing Madden 13 and man, the draft is addicting. I seriously have spent two hours scouting and pouring over data and going through the draft pick by pick. It's actually pretty thrilling. PArt of that is obviously you have way more picks in the NFL than you do NBA but man its fun for me to to look through various prospects and create my own Big Board of sorts (that should totally be something you can do in game, form a big board).

I go pick by pick and hope I can get the guys I want when I want them. It's really fun. 2K needs to find a way to mane the NBA draft more compelling. we need a lot more ambiguity and some more players that are steals. We should really have to look through those later picks to find the few really good players in there. There needs to be more drama, hype articles, busts, etc.

In my opinion the draft should feel like a mini game unto itself. Something where you really have to take make some choices to win big. It should feel like somewhat of a gamble but there also needs to be potential for great players.

Just looking at all the menus and options is giving me an aneurism. This is something else. It's all laid out so beautiful, and there's sooooo much to look and do! I can not wait until this community starts figuring out the best sliders for all those options, making the most realistic Association ever. This is gonna be a great year!

Alright, I'm making this my first impressions post.

• Menus are absolutely gorgeous, which is essential in MyLEAGUE
• Social Media seems really cool, not sure how repetitive it'll get, but that's fine
• I can already tell trades, at least requests, haven't improved much. Now the sliders may change this but still.
• The ability to match Sim minutes is possibly the best thing ever
• I LOVE that we can turn on whether to accept or reject CPU-CPU trades. I don't like playing as all 30 teams and being able to control one while keeping things balanced is great.
• Coach Gameplan. Holy ****. I knew about this feature but had no idea how in-depth it was. You can control everything for every team. Want to play Rondo 32 minutes against a bad PG team but 42 against Derrick Rose? Go ahead. Mind blown.
• You can copy/paste gameplans too, awesome.
• Scouting: Having rankings from three sources, DraftExpress, NBA.com, & 2K is a really nice feature and helps you better scout
• Wow, so much good stuff is happening I completely failed to notice that the fake rookies look incredible! Very diverse and no longer replicas
• Random one: On any screen move your right stick around, looks wicked awesome
• FULL PLAYER COMPARISONS! You can easily compare any two players in the league, in extreme detail. An overview of strengths/weaknesses, basic information, matchup quality, game stats, skill ratings, and badges! Very, very useful for thinking of trades
• Same can be done with all teams
• Training and scheduled practices seem incredibly detailed. Will have to look closer later. I can see that you can train players to specific areas, which is cool
• Team and Player Development over the months makes things easy to see how players are progressing/regressing
• And yet, the simplest, coolest feature for me. That when any player goes on a team other than their own (this includes complete rebuilding with Fantasy Drafts) their picture turns into a 2K modeling of them in that jersey. Unbelievably awesome. Just simulate a Fantasy Draft and watch as the players get picked, it's soooooo cool to see them in all different jerseys.
• This isn't full proof however, it can get a little messy. If you do a Fantasy Draft, and there's a player who on a new team but 2K had their old jersey picture then they keep that. I.e. Ramon Sessions gets drafted by the Kings, he's on the Kings in real life so he maintains his real picture, but that real picture is of him on the Bucks.
• One more note on the 2K modeled players. They are not stock, meaning there's more than one 'pose' for each player. I saw Rondo backing down in one and then standing there disgusted in another
• Duncan, despite being a 90, doesn't get selected in a fantasy draft until mid 2nd round. Fairly accurate. Also, this is a first from what I can remember. The best rookies do not get drafted in the 1st round. The first one to go was Parker in the 2nd, 16th pick. Then Embiid in the mid-4th, Randle & Wiggins early 5th.
• Simming games is really quick, nice.
• Simming a season I've noticed a lot of injuries. I don't know if it's accurate to real life (doubt it cause many were long) but it's certainly a considerable amount more than 2K14. However we can adjust this, like everything else, to our liking! The improved injuries may be taken into effect. I drafted Ray Allen & KG & they've both easily been injured the most!
• You can participate in all All-Star related things. Lavine, Wiggins, Ross, & Drummond were the dunkers.
• Dunk Contest is boring. All you do is press square, that's it.
• Trades already seem to occur too much, at least 'blockbuster' ones. More happened leading up to the deadline, so that's good, but I was offered numerous big trades from Aldridge to Wall to Bledsoe.
• Cool Feature Alert! Potentially during the off-season a player that you're looking at to draft will tell you that they've received an injury and will revise against drafting them.

Yeah getting the game in the morning and that is one of the first things I plain to do is see how much off a difference you see with the differnet settings like if you have trades on high vs low ect.

I don't know much of the picks and where they're suppose to go but the Celtics are definitely right.
