I agree with the OP! The thing that i want included in the game the most is off the court things to do in MyPlayer. I would like to be able to spend my hard earned cash on houses and cars or make the decision to pull a J.R. and go to clubs the night before a game. Maybe have the ability to have a gf. The houses/cars/etc that we buy can have an effect on stats or something. Gfs can have an effect too, be like Swaggy P and become more popular or a gf that pushes you to do better which could increase the results of training.

These are all thoughts. I get tired of just playing games and having little choice besides what stats to increase or what team to join in free agency.

They did a great job this year, let's hope they can add more of this stuff in 2K17!

Wow I just realized how much of this they added to 2K16. Originally reading I kind of thought all this stuff was far fetched but would make great additions, cool to see the devs take note.

On the draft I have one more to add - instead of "potential" being an absolute number that a player is guaranteed to reach, have two ratings - a floor and a ceiling. I've seen this idea mentioned before on these forums but I'd like to expand it a bit further:

The realized potential would be a random variable heavily influenced by outside factors such as: coaching, teammates at given player's position with "mentor" badge, touches (this was tracked in previous 2k games), minutes played, team chemistry/success etc. I think this would add a ton of fun nuance to drafting by making it possible to get late draft steals given the right team makeup.

Would also like to see a lot more detail put into personalities of each player with regards to team chemistry...maybe incorporate one of the more popular psych personality scales?

Looking back through this classic thread has made me realize just how far we have come. I'm thankful for 2K for even trying to satisfy us "offline" types. I was wracking my brain thinking of way to improve immersion, which I see as the only real weak spot with NBA 2K to me. Post 1 still says it all. I'd still love to see the classic players (that 2K has the rights to) sitting courtside or in the crowd during the playoffs or NBA finals. Like if get to the NBA finals with the Hawks, during a timeout, the camera would pan to Dominique Wilkins sitting and watching the game. They could even show his career stats real quick.

Man I revisit this thread every few years and it's still amazing. The thing that struck me this time is just how well the 1 on 1 interactions were in Live 15. My biggest gameplay gripe with 2K22 has been the movement. I just cant get it where it feels realistic and players still have explosiveness. This captures it perfectly. I'd also like to see free agency replicated like this as well where players preferences are more upfront. Star players should have ads and stuff outside the teams arena. We would need those exterior shots from last gen to return on the PS5/XBSX versions of 2K for that. Another thing I would add now is for 2K to add whatever celebrities they add to the game like The Game, or Quavo or Edris Elba or whoever else from MyCareer they have scanned and have them courtside for the All Star game and NBA Finals. I'd also like to add, I would love to see this aging tech from Red Dead Redemtion 2 in 2K. Look at how the face ages up (40 second mark) from 18 years old.

These threads are great but make me sad. They don't focus on myleague/mynba anymore. They haven't added anything as far as immersion goes since the ticker like 5 or 6 years. They really haven't added anything since then. Myleague/mynba really just needs immersion. Better presentation. The mode is deep but boring if your not using your imagination. It's the same every year now so to me gotten kinda boring. The ticker needs to be added during games. Scores from around the league during halftime but unfortunately won't happen. I would like things like scoring champion, assist leader ect added to player cards

The last couple years they gave us warm weather fan and load management lol. Load management??? Where's the advanced tech of next gen consoles? Update scouting, update free agency SOMETHING
