Great post, it would be amazing if it is in the game.

And I really want more options for when players retire. If Kobe retire I wanna see something about it, a ceremony for HoF or maybe retire his jersey. Imagine a cutscene before the 1st game of the season and Kobe stand in suits just to show his #24 get retired? It would be fantastic.

Give the opportunity to select which number the team will retire. Kevin Garnett retire, than the option to retire his jersey pops up por the T-Wolves, you select YES and then the number you want "21", this way we'll not see Garnett 2 being retired for the Wolves.

Great post, another thing I would like to see added, is commentators creating a story and going back to that story throughout the game. For example if Lebron and Kevin durant meet in the finals again, commentators should address the previous finals, head to head stats and the difference with the teams they're playing with now. Also use replays to tell that story. In real life broadcasts they'll have a couple of pieces showing you how the game has gone so far. If Lebron is struggling they'll have a quick montage of his misses or turnovers, if kevin is going off on lebron they'll show highlights of him scoring on lebron. Another thing when you cross someone or dunk on someone really bad they'll talk about that play for a while and go back to it when they're doing player spots, example kyrie crossing brandon knight, or the dion and tim hardaway jr duel for both examples.

I would love to re-create and create classic courts the right way especially the Chicago Stadium. The halfcourt line and free throw line in the Chicago Stadium is incorrect. And the bull and free throw line paint is suppose to be dark red.

Honestly, I'm still waiting for Visual Concepts to get rid of arched player names on the back of some teams, such as Detroit. It's been 15 years. 15. I've made the concession that there's some things they just can't do.

All suggestions are right to the point. Especially how replays should be handled, which I've written a blog about, you can find it in my sig.

Injured players in suits only showed up if you only had 12 players on your roster and no injured list.

This goes WAY beyond what I wanted. Great stuff. If the 2K guys could just replicate the magic of NFL 2K5's halftime and weekly highlight shows, with the in-game highlights and such, I would be satisfied. But hey, while we're at it, maybe these other great ideas could be implemented, too.

Prolific posting... this is the greatest thing i've read on OS. if only it could've come sooner maybe the guys at 2k would've tried to implement some of those features but who knows...this needs to be stickied for future editions of the game.

I'd honestly pay $100 for a game that included all this. I don't remember which Madden it was, but I loved relocating my team. I would love it even more in 2k because my city doesn't have a team. Or I could bring back the Sonics. This would be amazing.

Anywho. Man, pretty in depth there. This has gotta be on the dev's radar. It's just too comprehensive with even mockups and demonstrations for the things he wants.

Sim gameplay dudes and their wishlists gotta step it up! Walls of texts lose to visual aids every time!
