They added offline single-player with local saves, so I pre-ordered. NBA 2K14 was garbage to offline guys.

Definitely going to have to try out some FIBA games if they have a 2K8 feel. Best basketball game of all time, imo.

Why would he try an unfinished product tho? That's a lot of details and to match that with the leak info, I agree, the game is just polished. The game looks slower too.

appareciate the write up, but i honestly cant take anything seriously from gamescom reports after seeing how bad the people playing are in the videos.

You know what, I agree but I still saw what I saw tho. Saying that you would think with all the "2kYoutubers,"they would use one of them.

Sounds great to me. I really don't have much issue with anything here. Can't wait to sink teeth into MyLeague that is if I can upgrade to PS4 for Christmas

True as far as location, but I was just saying. But cool then.

Sigh, not this again. Stop giving 2K excuses.

The game comes out in 6-7 weeks, which means it is about 4 weeks away from going gold / being a complete game.

At this point, I'm pretty sure they're just focusing on ironing out the bugs and other small issues.

Because that's what's on display at Gamescom...

I think the other thing we need to keep in mind is that 2k's not going to severely alter a formula that works. I'm past the days of expecting a brand new experience when a new sports game comes out and now just hope for improvements and advancements.

The awkward player control the NBA 2K series developed since 2K9 has definitely turned me off from being an annual purchaser (or purchaser at all, for that matter), though I'd have to admit, his impressions of a "more polished" game and "no more sliding" has at the very least gotten my attention. As others have mentioned, the same was said during early hands-on impressions of 2K14, but I honestly thought that did in fact apply to last gen 2K14 - not so much with the current gen version. As promising as the impressions sounded, this game remains a mere rental until I finally see for myself at least a month's trial time worth of convincing improvements over the past few iterations.
