Re: NBA 2K15: Yakkem Trailer (Gameplay Included)
Cheerleaders look great. But they'd never make it past audition phase unless they learn to show them pearly whites!
But no seriously, I bet they look super uncanny valley like if they had big, unmoving smiles on their faces in this game. Hell, some cheerleaders kinda look like that normally. Just ain't natural to be all Stepford smiling 24/7.Comment

Re: NBA 2K15: Yakkem Trailer (Gameplay Included)
To be fair, it did when they put up a bunch of YouTubers that no one knows and their MyPlayer avatars in that TV spot. It was more them than KD self referencing like they were on the same tier. It was a really weird tone and vibe.
If it also means #SimTimeHasCome, I'm all for it.
Trying to find a key balance between cheddar removal based on you guys experiences online, legacy issue removal and new game-play and mechanics advances.
So hopefully on the game play front every year more and more of your time will continue to uhh... come ? LOL
Understand that is much easier said than done but that is definitely the goal. Regardless of what you happen to hear from marketing.
However don't hate on the casuals, Their purchases could be the reason for certain dev team expansionsSo I hope they tell their friends to pick up a copy!

I like to think of this as more of a marathon than a sprint. We won't be able to get to everything in a single year or even two but my hope is that from a game-play perspective we approach a more sim but FUN direction every single year.

Between you and OG as new acquisitions and Mike's steady hand, I feel pretty secure about 2K's future. You guys are like the Cheddar Guard. I mean charge cheese, zig zag cheese, shot chucking cheese, and 1-3-1 cheese gone already? Oh myyyy.
I won't totally hate on the casuals-- they pay the bills after all-- but I'd like a game that at least resembles a realistic but amped game on the most casual settings to introduce them to basketball fundamentals, and ramps up to a full fledged sim. I'm pretty confident you guys will have a good feel on what both ends of the spectrum should look and play like. I'm also hoping for some way to play all out sim online.
You can't button through real between quarter shows. You can only stare blankly and maybe get a hotdog and beer. That's as sim as it gets.Last edited by Sundown; 08-27-2014, 12:20 PM.Comment

Like I've said, a little bit of everything for everyone.
That's the beauty of NBA 2K. Core, simulation-basketball, has always been the foundation for everything.Comment

Re: NBA 2K15: Yakkem Trailer (Gameplay Included)
Speaking of legacy issues and pet peeves - will we finally be able to see an entire game's worth of shots on the shot chart?
Also, the older style was better, where you could sort the shots by quarter and it wasn't cluttered with rebounds and assists (whose locations are of lesser interest anyway).Comment

I have no idea how to share it here or if it can be, but anybody see the mascots clip on the 2K Facebook page? Mascots look great, this is the best Benny the Bull has ever looked in a video game

Peace LD,
I don't mean to turn this into a Q&A but how is the player movement this year? Last year it felt like I was fighting against the game in order to move my guy at times. It also felt like i was running in quick sand some times as well.
This might be covered in your next announcements in regards to gameplay, if it is I apologize for jumping the gun.
Peace.Comment
