Re: 2k15 console/PC
So I take it from a financial standpoint, consoles are cheaper, you just don't get the mods?Comment

Re: 2k15 console/PC
As for NBA 2K, they have done really good job with optimizing their game for PC. I guess that they did the specs they released on Steam 'just to be sure'. Because difference between Minimun and Recommended is big. Also they release specs without any specific video card and processor listed.Comment

Re: 2k15 console/PC
Well I built a gaming PC about 2 years ago with the intentions of it "holding me off" until the next gen consoles came out. All I can say is I haven't found a reason yet to justify buying a console. I'm not much of an online player but I still manage to hop on and get an online game from time to time.
I think the modding community is cautiously optimistic that we'll be able to use some of the same tools to mod 2k15. It could be a whole new ball game though and it might be a very slow first half of the season for mods. That's just something to consider.
Graphically, if you build a good PC, it's going to look better and play smoother than the consoles. Building a good PC is going to cost you more than a console though for sure. But like 8KB24 and a few guys have said you'll make up the difference in the long run because game prices drop much compared to consoles.Comment

On PC you can get some awesome, more mature games for very cheap.Last edited by Vni; 09-09-2014, 02:22 PM.Comment

But I'll say this: if you're only looking at a gaming PC for this game, it's not worth it. If you plan on doing more gaming than just sports and like games like The Witcher series, you won't be disappointed.Comment

Re: 2k15 console/PC
Im kinda late to this party but if you do go the PC route build your own do not buy a pre built system. It is not hard at all to do and you will save a ton of money.
If you are a member of reddit there is a great subreddit on there called /r/buildapc. Those guys can work with your budget and get you the most bang for your buck. Most of the users over there are very helpful.Curently Playing:On PS3- Old PS1 RPGs (Xenogears, FF 7 and 9, FF Tactics)On PC: PUBG And Heroes of the StormI occasionally stream on twitch at twitch.tv/tcfclemsonComment

Re: 2k15 console/PC
Serious question here..
I've never been much of a gamer, outside of sports games, therefor I have never owned a gaming PC..
Is the PC version of the game just as good/the same as the console version? I'm somewhat inclined to get a PC and the game simply because I love the customization and the classic roster capabilities..
Can someone explain the benefits or lack of benefits with getting the PC version? I always see comments like "if only we could do that on the console" which has always made me believe the console version was just much better.. I just wish to be informed from someone who knows more about it than I.

Re: 2k15 console/PC
I think for a casual gamer consoles always going to be a better option, unless you need a desktop PC anyways so might as well get a decent build that can run most games since you might become interested in others once you get into it. I'm a PC first kinda guy nowadays, but the truth is that gaming on a PC is not as user friendly as some of the more fervent supporters make it seem to be as you can encounter a wide range of issues that don't always have a clear solution because of the vast amount of different hardware setups. If you have the patience and understand some basics of modern computers then yes, the rewards are well worth it. If not, stick to a PS4.Comment

I do want to upgrade and get a new PC anyways, that's why I'm leaning towards it. I ruined my new laptop and thought my next PC might as well be used to play 2k since I've always wanted the roster editing capabilities.. I've saw videos, and a lot of the modding and stuff I think I could learn to do myself, so I could see it being very rewarding.. I used to mod items/clothes/etc for the sims, so hopefully I can learn to do the same for at least faces on 2K..
Any recommendations on what I should buy? I already have an extra 40inch TV that's just sitting the the closet, I thought about setting it up using that for my screen.
