Re: NBA 2K15 Introduces FaceScan Technology, Scan Your Face, Bring it into the Game
It would have been awesome if you could also do it online with pictures instead of the PS camera (for draft classes, misc.)
But man, this looks dope. I'm hyped!

The concept is obvious. The execution and results is a first.
Static scanning of a photo or flat video image is completely different from consumer 3D face scanning. This is an industry first.
It's like saying Avatar was no big deal because you saw the black and white King Kong in 3D with blue and red glasses. You looking at the Chair MAN!

I have no dog in the fight. I just want the best simulation on court with the best BAP mode. Whoever delivers will be the game I purchase if I don't get both. You looking at the Chair MAN!

You come across as a yappy dog most of the time. It's not a good look if you wanna stick around these parts.Welcome to Operation Sports, official breeding grounds for the NBA 2K development team!Comment

Pretty sure you couldn't edit in goggles in 2k14, unless you're talking about the PS3/360 versions. I know in 2k13 you could.
Posted this in another thread, but it looks like Larry Sanders may be wearing goggles this year. Really hope we'll be able to add goggles/glasses (and headbands, with different colors) to NBA players in the edit screen.

Re: NBA 2K15 Introduces FaceScan Technology, Scan Your Face, Bring it into the Game
It's like saying that the availability of cell phones isn't quite as exiting because we had fisher price walkie talkies growing up-- when in fact it's one big step towards the realization of a dream. It remains an industry first and a first for 2K or any basketball game, which makes it even more exciting for someone who cares about any of the above.
If 3D scanning featured on Live, it wouldn't have made sense to say "this isn't new, cause Gameface" either. I know as someone who thinks the Live series is sub par, I would still have stewed in jealousy.Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 Introduces FaceScan Technology, Scan Your Face, Bring it into the Game
So will our my player be our Gm like last year? I hope not. Last year I made a 20 year old player and ended up with a 20 year old Gm too. I hope they can find a way to use this feature in my league, or as a player in mg.Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 Introduces Stay in Your Face Technology, Scan Your Face, Bring it into G
They definitely didn't create the concept...but I guess my that logic it'd be hard to be impressed with anything, lol
2k didn't create the concept of a season mode, but the amount of customization they are allowing this year is unheard of..
Live 15 isn't the first basketball tittle to have authentic sneakers, but the level of detail they put in this year is unmatched..(I think you even "wowed" at the level of detail)
By no means am I saying your obligated to be amazed by the feature....just seemed like an odd sticking point..Comment

Not a real big sneaker guy so I doubt it was me.
And you are right and judging by everybodies comments I should have worded my post different. What I was trying to say is I would have really been blown away had I never seen my face in a game ever before. As of now I'm thoroughly impressed. You looking at the Chair MAN!
