It's the year 200-f@#$&ing8! You guys don't think technology exists yet that could automatically load the game menu and also run a demo if you don't press anything after X number of minutes? How come in the year 2008 it takes longer to fire up a video game than it did in 1988? That's not change Lebronze can believe in.

This has been going on way too long now, and I hope this has been addressed this year...it's now 2014!!

In #NBA2K15 We have completed a more ergonomical way for you to PRESS buttons.

As with anything, the dev team punched in as much as they could in this cycle even as far as making sure their fingers bled so yours wouldn't have to.

We believe you WILL be PLEASED at how the responsiveness is.

Okay. I must be the weird one. I prefer my games to go right to the main menu instead of pressing the start button first. If it was up to me, I would like a default load screen like Call of Duty. My default main menu would be the Online Matches.

If I have to press start in 2K15, it's no point of me even purchasing this game. I work a full-time job with a kid on the way, I really don't have time to press a start button every time I start a "videogame" up.

Guys it's not easy to remove the start button, if it were it would have already happened years ago.

There's no "remove start menu" switch for the devs, you don't know how complex the code actually is. Easier said than done folks.

Maybe next year?

The OP is right. I once reached for the start button and severely dislocated my right thumb. Threatened my job and livelihood for months. It's reckless for 2K to continue such a dangerous and barbaric practice in this day and age.

*Note* I'm assuming the OP is being sarcastic about this, and poking fun at people who complain/nit-pick the tiniest little details in the game. If the OP is serious ... then wow.

Op I agree, pressing the start button is definitely an immersion breaker. I want to start the game like a real NBA player and they don't press start buttons before games.

This forum and website are becoming too much to handle. Between my part time job working Mo-cap for NBA Live and my full time gig as a specialist arthritis doctor I am becoming way too fed up with everyone's expectations.

YOU JUST CAN'T HAVE SMOOTH MOVEMENT.
