It is entertaining. The past 3 years ive gotten 2k early. Last year i paid $30 to get it on the friday before. The year before $70 to get it on the saturday before. And 2k12 $15 (modded copy) to get it the sunday before. But i was searchin like crazy. Its just nice to have the game pre-release for some reason

To add to that. I think to get the game tomorrow id honestly be willing to drop $100 on it lol. #2kfiend #needmyfix

Could be worse, like that dude a few years back who dropped two g's just so he could get the latest CoD like four days early.

It's all ridiculous imo since it's just to have the game maybe 4 days before everyone else. If it was a month or something i'd understand, but a few days lol

Yea, getting it before everyone else, and before the release date, it's feels almost like you're getting away with something. After work tomorrow I'm gonna go hang around in the Kmart parking lot, and look for sketchy dudes walking around, maybe I'll get lucky and get it early.... or maybe I'll end up with ebola, who knows.

I know a couple of spots that will have it Monday morning/noon here in NYC. If I don't find my copy tomorrow I'll just wait for Monday. Forza Horizon 2 will keep me busy until then.

And lol @ anyone paying extra just to play the game early. Especially those dropping G's.. I always get cod a week early (probably won't get adv/war) and only paid $60 with no tax from a mom and pop shop.

Messed up part is that they are probably spending mom and daddy money (to buy cod for 2gs), not their own.

Hey maybe I'll get advanced warfare a week early and make a couple of stacks off it lol

Hopefully the register doesnt block him from buying it. Just because it worked for Destiny does not mean it will work for NBA 2K.

It got me wondering if it was targets scanning system that prevented it or if 2k blocked the UPC codes until release if that's even possible

Yes it is i worked at target for 2 years..all of the street dates are programmed in the system so nothing will be sold early

The irony is that , they will be paying $110 for a game that everyone will be playing for $45 less in a few days. Am not short when it comes to the funds , I ran my own business , but I just don't see the point in wasting money like that .

Personally, gaming is really not that expensive in the grand scheme of things (to me). I'm surprised that the prices of games have only gone up $10 since the mid-80's when I first started playing. Especially, with inflation and the cost it takes to produce a game. I'm certainly not saying that I want prices to be higher, but when I consider the amount of time I spend playing a game versus the price, then cost is very minimal to me.

Normally, if my wife and I go out to dinner and a movie we'll spend way more that $60. Instead of going out if I had a new game we would stay home and we would do our own separate things.. Fortunately, she's already said she don't want to do much this weekend.... And between Madden, College Football and the NFL I will have plenty to do, so I don't necessarily need 2K in my life just yet. I do want it though.
