Re: NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread
I just did some serious grinding for vc and upgraded my athleticism to like 19 or 20, cant really check. Let me tell you, that upgrade is the GOAT. Ive only upgraded rebounding twice, and I jumped from averaging like 3 boards a game to around 7 on average. In the 3 games I've played since then, in 2 of them i got a triple-double. In the other one, I missed it by only one assist. I've got a 90 speed, and you'd swear I was Derrick Rose out there with how I blow by people.
And the posters. Ohh the posters...Comment

Originally posted by ChefCurry30You're the goat man, definitely about to start doing that. And yeah I meant Finisher but recently found out that it's no longer in the game...really why remove one of the best badges in 2k history? Makes no sense to me...
Also, just dropped my second triple double of the season in a loss against the clippers(28/10/11). Funny thing is it was one of those "quiet triple doubles", didn't even notice I had it until the Jordan player of the game thing.
Swish.
We won the game (the only game we won. Cavs blew us out 4-1). It wasn't until before game five, when I went to check the box score to see who other than me was putting up good numbers, that I realised I'd went for 38 points, 14 rebounds, and 18 assists.
All that having been said, glad I could help. Hope you get one-man fast break and transition finisher soon.Comment

Yeah, like I said in another post, if you upgrade it to near max, you'll never have to drop a dime into rebounder. It really is a waste of VC and upgrade points if you do.Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread
I feel like I've played enough of this game to get the feel of the gameplay and I have to say I'm almost embarrassed that this is the final product. They're telling me someone played this thoroughly and said "This is how we want the game to play"?
I'm a 7ft Center and I went to the Pelicans. I play 12m HOF Sim. We are currently playing Ryan Anderson over Anthony Davis in the rotation, he's not injured. I repeat, he is not injured. On offense the plays we run always break down and 9/10 times it will lead to Jrue Holiday running into the paint and taking a contested shot, which he will miss or Eric Gordan taking a fadeaway jumpshot and getting blocked. The CPU straight up can't pass to save their lives, they will constantly through the ball into players in front of them and will more times than not choose the wrong type of pass. I honestly can't win against any team despite putting up a 20-20 every night. Most of those rebounds are offensive because on defense it doesn't matter how well you play D the CPU is just going to make contested jumpers in the paint all day.
Why would 2K put in a COACH directive if it doesn't tie into the plays the COACH is running. I get a directive to set picks for the ballhandler and the coach will run every play in the book where I'm as far away from the ball-handler as possible. Run offense through me? Ok so you'll run plays for me then? Nope.
Sorry but I had to vent. MyCareer gameplay as a center is WACK.Comment

As for there being 100, 2K should have made it clearer you won't be able to cap every category. Especially since the caps are limited for certain attributes depending on your position to begin with.Check out my gaming channel YouTube.com/OffTheBrinkTV for Tips, Tricks, Tutorials, Walkthroughs and Let's Play videos!Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread
I just got the offers from sprint and Gatorade, decided to hold off on them for the better deal, not like I need the vc right away anyways. Hopefully this means im getting closer to the shoe deals. The 2k shoes havent ever really irked me in how they look, but more in the way of they force them on us when its really not necessary. Lately however I've been paying more attention to my players feet and I can see why they really irk some people. Shoes are straight up ugly man...Comment

It's irking the hell out of me
because it's forced on you, every player in the league can wear what he wants without a sneaker deal but somehow my guy makes 14mill a year and HAS to wear these ugly *** shoes until i randomly impress a digital character and I'm given no clue as to how to impress dude
I've won a finals mvp been an all star 2nd team all nba and yet somehow this isnt impressive?Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread
Just a random thought...but I am not sure some people understand the "theme" of this mode. It's a story mode...2ks version..the user just plays it out. It's not going to be realistic or even SIM at times. It's playing your own virtual version of Rudy...for basketball.
The scripted moments are meant to be just that. Frustrating at times....Heck MOST of the time..but that's what this mode is.
If you want a more traditional career mode I would say just create a player put him on the team of choice and use player lock in My GM/League and play along with your guy. I think it would lead to far less frustration.

Re: NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread
My friend went the sim route with his games and didnt get his deal until the beginning of his 3rd season.
I got 5000Vc from Nike, and i believe my friend said he got 6000Vc from jordan.
It's the same with the skill badges he's already in his 4th season and is just now getting some badges that ive already had since my 1st/2nd season because he's been simin his games.Last edited by nyk_fatboy; 10-23-2014, 10:50 AM.Comment

NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread
Greivis gets around 35 minutes a game
Lowry gets about 10....no injuries, and put up far better stats before they decided to magically reduce his minutes.
It's super frustrating because Lowry was so efficient. I'm a Slashing SG that likes to play off ball, set screens, and cut to the basket when K Low would set me up. Greivis just throws up bricks all game that forces me to ball hog and take control of the offense. I'm actually a Raptors fan and really like real life General Greivis...this mode is making me hate him.

Re: NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread
I can't understand the want for simming in MC. I mean, if that's the way you want to play, it's cool it's available, but I'm genuinely curious. What is the point of not playing games? I can understand it in other modes, but my career? I don't get it.Check out my gaming channel YouTube.com/OffTheBrinkTV for Tips, Tricks, Tutorials, Walkthroughs and Let's Play videos!Comment
