Finished my third year with the Raptors after winning two titles and signed with the Celtics hoping to build a good 1-2-3 PF C SF punch with an 85 ovr rookie C and an 84 Ovr PF/SF sophmore they drafted. I ended up getting a max contract and to my surprise it triggered a cut-scene with my new GM asking me which FA's I would like to bring to the team. I ended up getting Harden and Griffin. I think once you get a max contract the big 3 option automatically triggers, regardless of whether you leave or re-sign with your current team; I could be wrong though.

My current team is now stacked because of this.

Starting Rotation:

Griffin(89)- Rookie(85)-Me(97)
Harden(87)-Rondo(83)

Bench

Sophmore (84)
Smart (81)
Sullinger (79)
Bradley (79)
Olynk (75)
Anderson (75)

Best team I've ever been on in a career mode. Once you get that big 3 deal, you pretty much make super team.

Hi, I was wondering how much VC you are given through salary now that you have a max contract?

My first contract was two years, and I'm trying to decide whether I should sim the second year of the contract so I can earn more vc for same effort.

In MyCareer is it ok to just play 6 min quarter games so the games go by faster? You still get the VC right? Any dropbacks to only play 6 mins?

It's fine to play on that - just stats may not be realistic (not a big deal if it's all good with you) and you can earn more vc from playing longer from getting more stats!

650 vc base salary for big games, 475 for average games, 300 for easy games.

Anyone else finding it too easy to rack up stats as a Center?

I just finished a 25-25-5 game on Superstar/Sim, and I'm a 70 OVR in my second season with NO POINTS INTO REBOUNDING and only level 5 athlete. If I play decent minutes in a game, 15-20 rebounds is about my average.

I used to play on HOF and it wasn't much different, at least as far as rebounds are concerned.

I do play 12 minute quarters, but 20 rebounds on a consistent basis?

Center and PF are probably two of the easier positions to play in MyCareer. PG is by far the hardest. Why you say? Because our performance really depends on our assists which is a PG's main job. Playmaking. Also there are alot more excellent PG's than any other position. It's nothing for them to drive the ball past you on harder difficulties. I did shut down Stephen Curry though.

Another problem is, our teammates are complete morons and can't make shots so it's hard to get assists.

What's funny is...I set up shooters perfectly but....they don't shoot...they pass to another teammate and that person may make the shot. So instead of getting an ASSIST ..i get a PASS TO ASSIST. lol thx

Cause I signed a 3 year deal with the Lakers after my rookie yr. so do we only get that contract after we sign a newer contract with a new or same team and is this option only when signing a new deal or can it happen the offseason after your first season with your new team??

It happened immediately after I signed my max contract. After my first year I signed a 2 year extension with the Raptors. Once that ended, I signed a 4 year max deal with the Celtics. My best estimation is that my max contract triggered the GM asking for my big 3. In the cut-scene the GM states "We have to keep our superstar happy, and if our superstar is happy, well then I'm happy!". I doubt they would say that to anyone but a max contract holder. Unfortunately that's all I've got for you.

In my 2nd season, and me and James Harden are the top vote getters in our respective conferences, but my team(NYK) is still 6-38😖

Just finished my second season lost in the first round 4-0 of the playoffs to the thunder. Got a free agency offer from every team in the league but decided to resign with the rockets on a two year 20 million deal with my max vc a game being 712
