Re: NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread
Some of us aren't as fortunate. Seems like for some of us, even with playing EVERY game, the State Farm A just doesn't unlock. I have just over a million fans, met Pharrell just once, and have no idea what I have to do to get Gatorade to "notice" me. I've made the all star team, am leading or at the top of most statistical categories, and have played all my games.Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread
82 OVR with my PG on the Cavs now in the beginning of December in my 2nd year. I'm loving the game now and I think it's because my teammates play really well. Lebron, Love, Irving, Waiters and Boozer all play well. Varejao plays pretty bad for some reason. He can't defend, rebound and he gets beat alot. He also misses alot of open looks.
I have a couple questions that I need help with please.
1. If I take the State Farm deal the 2nd time my agent offers it, does this exclude me from any future deals like the Gatorade one?
2. I can't seem to get the timing of my jump shot down. I've even turned off the shot meter but I'm almost always late in my release by just a smudge but when I'm contested it's enough to make me miss shots. I'm also using Tony Parker's jump shot.
What has helped you perfect your jump shot? Also, what jump shot do you use and what release do you use?
Any other tips on how I can perfect my release would be helpful. I've tried looking at my player's hands, head, feet, etc to try to watch his release but it doesn't help. Sometimes my timing is all over the place and it's frustrating.Last edited by extremeskins04; 11-05-2014, 10:01 AM.Comment

2. I use James Harden jump shot with quick release, I'm shooting 40+ percent on 3pts, just had the Around the world practice against Jennings and destroyed him by going around at one go, got perfect release 7/10.
And about how to time it.. I have no special gimicks, I just try to be as automatic as possible, I shot in the gym and just try to get a feel for how long I need to hold the button, so I don't even have to look at the meter as much. But when I do, I make sure I try to release a bit before the meter hits the line, otherwise I always miss it.Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread
I've got jumper, defense, and playmaker maxed and I'm working on inside scorer because I can get 10+ rebounds without any upgrades there, but I think you should put attribute upgrades however you play and you can still get a high 90 either way but I don't believe overall really matters after 86-92.
I don't know man, you might be right, but there's something about the 90+'s in the game. It may all just be in my head, but I have one player at 86 and another at 90 and it's almost night and day. So I was thinking that a 98-99 (Like SheBron) would basically just dominate the floor, which is exactly what I'm looking for.
NOTE TO 2K: I'm not looking to create an NBA all star, I'm looking to create the greatest of all time. That means better than Jordan, better than SheBron, Kobe, Durant, and all those old school dudes who I'm sure wouldn't be nearly as good in today's game.
It's annoying that 2K doesn't want us to do that for some reason. Isn't that the whole idea of MyCareer from the outset?Comment

I just got the shoe deal, choose Nike, right after the christmas game 2nd year so it probably wont take long for you. Oh and finally got hustle points, one man fastbreak and transition finisher for my 82 overall PF. Hopefull with those last two I cant get some speed on the break, it's like the game slows you down on the break :S For some reason you can sprint back on D, but not on the break, really annoying at times.Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread
That's what scares me. I am already into my second season with my second career since the first one didn't want to give me the endorsements no matter what I did. A this point I have no clue what to do. I'm past the point everyone who is getting their deals is getting them. So I feel like both my careers are glitchedComment

Re: NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread
Spurs in the Playoffs kept picking off my passes on the pick and roll. My guy would be wide open and they would step in front of the pass every time. Only 7 assists and 6 turnovers. Maybe I should be like Kobe and not try and pass as often.Chicago Bulls

Re: NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread
Just went to play a game and then selected "sim to end" and it unlocked an attribute upgrade, so you can cheese for it this way as well.
BTW the amount of times I'm fouled on my drives and don't gett a call is just crazy... Refs hate me. Also if my dunks wouldn't get blocked so often that would be great, it's not like I want my player to make some crazy windmill dunk while there are 2 defenders close, and the funniest thing is, it will ALWAYS be a block never a foul. NEVER.Last edited by ReRo; 11-05-2014, 11:51 AM.Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread
But yes its really hard to throw a pass without it getting picked off. Cpu can throw passes through the paint but your teammates do nothing, you try the same and another turnover. It seems a lot safer when your teammate who is receiving the pass is horizontal/parallel with you instead of vertical/up the court.Comment
