Re: NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread

Probably a dumb question, but is there anyway to have the offense run plays when you're not a PG?

In my SF my career our offense is so bad on the higher levels because all we seem to do is through up lobs which results in 5 turnovers a game, run the pick and roll when I set it, or have the PG drive to the foul line and take a pull up jumper.
    Go Yankees
    Go Rangers
    Go Giants

      You need On Court Coach.

Or just do PnR and be the offense initiator.

So question is do you get the alley oop scorer when you throw alleys to yourself on fast breaks?

Not true. Just set the play calling to auto and it will run plays for you. Turn on the playcall vision and you'll see what you're supposed to do if you don't know.

Ah yes, I misread the question. I thought he wanted to call plays himself.

That's what I was looking for, sorry I couldn't word it right lol.

I'm going to change the playcalling and hope it helps!

After getting frustrated with a SG, I'm playing as a center on all-star. I'm averaging a double double in 20 minutes while only being rated 65, but my team routinely loses by 25+. I decided to play as a center since I the interior defense and rebounding is so awful.

I'm enjoying it but its frustrating knowing no matter what you do, the opposing team will shoot 55-60% every game and generate 15-20 turnovers while committing about 5.

I'm playing on superstar/sim and my team averages 8 turnovers a game. Also, last 3 or so games we've held the cpu to under 48% shooting.

My experience was like yours until recently. Maybe try SS/Sim

I'm probably just stating the obvious for people who have been playing MyCareer since 2k15 came out, but the higher the difficulty that you set it on, the more intelligent your teammates are. I obviously can't prove this 100% but for anyone who is playing on a team with players who arent playing like themselves on Rookie or Pro, go up to All Star and Superstar, man what a difference.

Seems like im the only one answering you Lol.

But with that overall and the stats you posted above, there definitely shouldnt be any reason you cant get the max deal. Both of those are way higher than what I was at when i got it.

Unless the Lakers magically go over the salary cap.

Yeah you actually are which is sad but thanks for the info big time now I know what to look forward to in the off season. So now if I get the max deal how does the whole big 3 thing work if you know?? **also idk if you know this but when you on the fast break and you thrown alleys to yourself does that count towards getting the alley oop scorer badge??**

If you go center my biggest recommendation is to pick Toronto. They are a very deep team and tend to play excellent team ball. They pass to you in the pick and roll if you are open which was not the case with other teams I tried.

That being said, no matter the team you pick...the others on the team will start sucking the more minutes you get. Slowly but surely the game will adjust the game play to account for your better than average stats. It's one of the things I DISPISE about this game. The computers goal is to keep the game close. If you shoot 65% as a team, exspect the opponent to shoot high, get loads of OR, hit a lot of 3s ofr make tons of FTs. Also, when a team is on a momentum run the computer ignores the shot type for the most part. It will make you miss uncontested dunks (happens in almost every game). This is even more prevalent in HoF. Even worse is when the computer won't let you even jump. Rose drove past my asleep pg. I was in the perfect position to block it or at least foul and prevent an easy layup. My 7'3" (83 vertical) center Skied in the air. He brought his arm back like he was going to spike a volleyball. Well, my hand hit a curved force that radiated 8" from the ball. That "force field" knocked my hand away and pushed my body out of bounds. I guess Rose does have super powers.

Last thought: playoffs against Pacers. I decided to see how good my team would shoot if I took NO shots. I also wanted to see how the other team shot given my lack of point output. All I did was set picks and hang around the paint going for ORs. My teammates kept trying to give me the ball but I would just pass it out every when I got an OR. I got over 20 ORs (47 total). My team shot....ready......34%! What did the Pacers who averaged 49% in the series shoot? 37%. The best I ever did before was holding them to 41%. The bricks were flying which is why I got so many Rebs. It was quite funny actually. I beat the game code at its own game. We win by 15 by the way and it was a "Never in doubt" game.
