Re: NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread
hanging with the Rockets in my fourth season, halfway through January trying to improve massively on the dismal season they had last time, going 28-54.
So far so good, they got the number 1 overall pick, a PF who entered the league at 86 overall and has been voted into the West All Stars as a bench player. Obviously Harden puts up decent points (16pg) and provides assists when I'm off the court. I'm a 95 overall and take the role of a point forward, driving into the lane and either finding a man on the perimeter or finding my rookie PF for a mid range jumper or inside layup. This season averaging 24.6ppg, 12.8rpg (career high) and 7.0apg (career high). First few months I was taking on most of the scoring and taking about 20 shots a game but as the team chemistry has come up I've settled into a lower scoring but more effective passing role. I've had 7 triple doubles in my last 10 games including a career high 17 assist game in San Antonio.
On the team side of things we have three All Stars (myself, Harden and Sutton, the rookie PF) and find ourselves second in the West, 4th overall with 22 wins to 14 losses. Most importantly the turnover averages are the best in the league and they're down massively from last year. Finally feel like I might have a team capable of a good playoff run after three years of really paltry teams.

Re: NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread
I normally just make a SF, but SF has gotten to easy for me. PG seems more challenging for me. I get to run the offense myself, so all the mistakes that happen are on me. With my SF i have D. Rose running the offense.Comment

I have way too much free time haha! Plus 2K is pretty much my main game at the moment so I get through quite a few games in a day. I did sim a few games in my first half season of season 3 at the Clippers and then a couple months in Miami because i lost all interest in playing for them.
like I mentioned in that post I play as a point forward, get the ball at half court and then bring it up and get the bulk of the assists and passes, I can't run plays cos I don't have floor general or on court coach (working towards em though with my assist numbers coming up) but I can freestyle a play easily enough to find a man wide open. Basically I base my player off 09 LeBron.

Once you get those two too a level you're comfortable with, you could branch out to other scoring like outside shooting and inside scoring. I'd personally say start out with jump shooting because with a high athlete rating you're going to be dunking more than layups I notice. Defense I just upgraded when I didn't have enough for the other categories and it got high pretty quickly Lol.
Just don't touch rebounding. That's a waste as you most likely already know.Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread
And I sadly lost to the Spurs in the playoffs western conference finals. It seemed like everyone besides me and Curry were off that series and he was still sadly coming of the bench. I mean come on 2k his description and my description says pg/sg, you really couldn't have made that work out.
I signed with the Warriors again in the off season in hopes that the problem would be fixed. Nope. Couldn't take it anymore so I left for the Rockets, signed a 3 year deal worth more than the Warriors was giving.
Also, does dimer work differently this game? I've been hitting teammates wide open and the badge doesn't pop up.Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread
Athlete and playmaking were the two I started out working with. I became a athletic playmaker(game description) and with that I was able to penetrate the defense and either poster somebody if I was open enough or make the easy pass. It was a pretty fun play style to start out with so I'd recommend it.

Maybe it just doesn't pop up all the time then, because certain times it does pop up and others it doesn't even if it's pretty much the same situation.
I'm also thinking of starting of a sg account. I've always played as a point guard, kinda want to widen my experience.Comment
