Played my first few games since the patch...
1) Team rebounding - the rest of my team mates have had their (already) dumb brains transplanted with house fly brains. The probability that they will box out (which was already low pre-patch) has dropped, and whether or not they box out, they tend to... NOT JUMP. Offensively, they appear to be unaffected, but defensively they are almost completely useless now.
2) Personal rebounding - has gotten harder, which is perfectly acceptable seeing as I'm a short-ish PG. Problem is, now that it has gotten harder, something which I've ignored up to now has become annoying as hell. Whether offensive/defensive, when I hold the box out button, my player will strangely move himself into some randomly designated location... which usually isn't a position where I'm actually boxing out a player. So, I fight for position under the boards, I press box out, the CPU moves my player into a position where I'm boxing out thin air. As I mentioned, I didn't really mind pre-patch because I was grabbing a good number of boards... but now, it makes me feel like gouging out my eyes with a chair.
3) Steals - have gotten harder, not because the CPU guards the ball better or anything like that... but because my steal button on defense has now been replaced with the "grab the opposing player" button instead. I've got no problems with getting less steals, gambling and failing (and losing my balance and falling head over heels about 10 meters away from where I'm supposed to be)... but why does my player insist on hugging everyone as soon as I hit the steal button.
4) Behind the back ISO - I now appear to have a ~30% chance to perform the actual behind the back move I chose. The other ~70% of the time, I do some strange behind the back move that looks like I can't dribble properly and I need to look to see where the ball actually is before continuing the move. Lovely...
5) Shooting - seems to be "easier". I'm getting more perfect releases, and seem to be able to hit the wide open jumpers that an actual NBA player should be hitting when they have 95 rating on said jumper instead of the pre-patch open jumpers are 95% bricks (maybe that's what the 95 rating is... the percentage of bricks you throw up when open).
6) Is it just me or am I doing more of those idiot celebration moves after scoring where you lose control of your player while the opponent sprints up the court?
7) The "I can't figure out how my feet work so I have to shuffle about when changing directions" is really getting on my nerves. It gets more annoying when you know the exact play the CPU is running, but you can't do anything because your player suddenly forgot how to turn and run at the same time. Wanna change directions? Here, shuffle in place for a second. Wanna jump to rebound? Here, shuffle in place for a second. Wanna jump to block? Here, shuffle in place for a second.
