Re: NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread

Playing the Lakers with my PG for the Bucks and we get off to a great start (I'm starter now). When I left the game with right at 2:00 to go in the 1st quarter, we had a 27-10 lead. I started the second quarter and, by that time, the Lakers had somehow managed to make it a 28-26 lead. So in the span of 2:00 minutes they somehow put together a 16-1 run.

I've left games before with a 15-20 point lead only to reenter the game later and see we're trailing or my lead was whittled down to 2-3 points. But those are instances where I'm usually out for 5-10 minutes of game time. I've never seen a 17 point lead evaporate due to my terrible CPU teammates and their impressively low basketball IQ in just two minutes.

You almost have to try and avoid rebounds in this game if you want semi-realistic stats. I'm a 6'3" PG and I just started this MyCareer (about 12 games into it) and he's already averaging around 7.5 RPG in about 17ish MPG. Of course his RPG numbers are buoyed by a 16 rebound performance in a game where we beat the Magic by 35 so I actually got to play 30+ minutes.

But still, discounting the first five games or so where you only play around 10 minutes and I could only manage to get around 1-3 rebounds, I can generally get 6-8 rebounds if I really want, despite being a 6'3" PG who has no rebounding upgrades and whose athleticism is only at level 3.

Welp, my knicks just won 2 won 2 straight against decent teams (pistons and hornets). My shot has been dropping more since i started getting more layups, but its still not falling with the consistency that it used to for some reason, i guess the patch or whatever made it less potent, but whatever. the last 4 games have been good and my stats are looking like, 23ppg 8ast 5rb 1.3stl 0.9blk 47%fg 44%3pt. Im not sure were capable of beating good teams yet, but we can at least beat middle of the pack teams, and if we can keep doing that we might be able to climp back into the playoff picture. right now were still below 500, but only by 1 game. I think we might be able to creep in as a 8th seed, maybe 7. But our team sucks so 7 would be pushing it, even tho its not even january yet.

There is one more game I want to play in my rookie PG season with the Kings. We are tied for 8th spot with the Pelicans having the tie breaker. I kind of don't want to make it in. I am averaging 18ppg, 7.8 apg, 5.6 reb, 3.2 spg, 1.2 bpg.
I am leaning toward either going to the Pelicans or staying with the Kings. The problem with being a PG, is that most teams don't have a weakness at PG or have a young PG with promise. The only good teams would be the Rockets or Knicks. Kings only have Cousins and Gay. While Pelicans do have more weapons. Since we have the same record, we should be in the same draft range

Indiana, ORL, MIA, ORL, BOS, and the LAL too.

How much do you get at the Park/Tec if you play it?

On my player I got a 88 PG (who's in his 6th year) who's won 2 championships, finals mvp, Ive got the 50 A+ teammate grade, played well over 40 games and still havent unlockes any of the major endorsements. Could it be that my game is glitched? Make matters worse I dont even get any cut scenes anymore and still no shoe deal! Whats the problem?

                      I don't play Park/Rec, I would if I didn't have to have PS+ to play it.

I simmed the remaining 10 games of my Bucks season cause we had no chance of the playoffs. Could have used the VC cause I'm only rated 71 but was just tired. No team had over 50% interest in me in Free Agency (averaging 19 ppg, 5rpg, 6.5apg) but I ended up getting offers from everyone. My top 3 picks were the Heat who needed a PG to complete their team, the Rockets who needed a PG to complete their team, or the Lakers (my team obviously). In the end I went with the Rockets cause I wanted a shot at a championship, me + Harden + Howard is serious contender material.

First game was a 117-115 win over the Lakers. I got us an 11 point lead but we blew it big time when I came off the court. Was 115-115 when Kobe took a shot with 6 seconds left that missed. I rebounded, called time out. Got the ball, drove to the rim and then kicked it out to Harden who was being guarded by Kobe who drained it .

What contact are you guys on per-game 2nd season? Mine is quite low. And how many games do you usually play 2nd season? I'll probably play every game till I get to 80ovr, which might take a while on All-Star (will bump it back up to Superstar eventually).

I considered those teams. Indiana dont have much outside Paul George offensively. ORL, i would have to hope they get a good draft pick to work around. MIA, both stars are going outside of prime, same with LAL with Kobe. And im using a older Roster, so BOS still has Rondo
NO has young pieces to work around.

I'm starting a new wingman career tomorrow. Thinking either a 6"6 shooting guard or a 6"9 small forward. Instead of what I did first time round and tried to upgrade a bit of everything, I'll upgrade all but the rebounding. that way, I should have a pretty monstrous player for the park cos I miss a lot of layups under the rim with my current SF.

before I do that im gonna need a real VC grind to be able to make this new player good, quick!
