Yeah, I'm a PG so he's my man. I don't want to use up all of my fouls. I do try to go for steals a little too often but it's mostly me just not being able to keep him in front of me to save my life.
I'm in game 6, now, and think I've adjusted a little better. But he had this three game sretch agaisnt me in games 2-4:
48 points, 21/37 FG, 3/7 3P, 3/4 FT
63 points, 26/45 FG, 5/11 3P, 6/7 FT
59 points, 23/40 FG, 4/7 3P, 9/10 FT
So, he averaged 56.7 PPG, 70/122 FG (57.3%), 12/25 3P (48%), 18/21 FT (85.7%) over those those three games. In that 63 point game he had a stretch where, because I just decided to back off of him a few steps, and he made probably 5-7 straight 18+ foot jumpers. Haven't gotten that close to throwing my controller at the all in a long, long time. I somehow managed to "hold" him to 31 points on 12/31 FG, 1/5 3P, 7/7 FT in game one; and in game five I "held" him to 27 points on 10/26 FG, 2/9 3P, 5/6 FT. I lost those three games by 18, 24, and 13 points. Fortunately I was able to win game 1, bounced back after dropping three straight and won game 5 and 6.
I've gotten "abused" by other PGs from time-to-time (Rose, CP3, Wall, Parker, Shabazz Napier of all people) but never to this extent. And Westbrook killed me in the regular season, too. He scored 45 points on 18/32 FG and 3/5 3P in one game and 39 points on 14/29 FG and 4/7 3P in the other game.
