Re: NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread

So I'm coming back to NBA 2k15 after a long break and I'm going to start a new career with a point guard. These items describe the teams I'm looking for in order of importance:

    1. The team needs a good PG and/or I'm not replacing a famous PG. They're usually one and the same, but who knows.

    2. The team has PFs and Centers that are at least decent finishing inside off passes.

    3. Neither the SG nor the SF are the center piece of the team's offense.

    4. The SF is good at defense.

    5. The team can be a bottom feeder. I don't need instant playoff contention.

From what I can tell, I think maybe the teams that would fit what I'm looking for would be the Hawks, Grizzlies, and Magic. Hawks are a bit shakier on #1 since Teague has come a long way this season and goes against #3 with Korver. Grizzlies I'm not as familiar with, but I think they might fit the bill well though. The only thing with Magic would be Oladipo would see a drastic cut in his points per game like Korver would.
If you have any suggestions for teams that kinda fit what I'm looking for, let me know. Thanks for your help!

I'm at the Magic in my PG career. Only in my second 10-day but Vucevic is a good finisher inside, Aaron Gordon can be but is inconsistent, O'Quinn is decent at best. No real great outside scorers though so if the inside game doesn't work then it's really difficult to get anything going.

You should try the pistons! basically what you described... Prince isnt the greatest on D. But im currently playing a SG on the pistons and love it! i have been a PG on that team too. I would definitely recommend it.

I would say the Pacers or Kings. I would lean more towards the Pacers. You have Hibbert and West inside. Paul George as the SF. George Hill is easily replaceable.

I'll admit, I'm not that up on the Pacers, but I originally shied away from them because of Paul George's rating which is right there with Carmelo. However, looking more into it, I think his high rating may be more because of his defense than anything. In all, Pacers don't come across as much of an offensive team anyway, so my PG can be the offensive punch they need.

I'll also look more into the Pistons, not as familiar with them either.

I need input from everyone who plays a big.

I want to play a center but every time I start one I end up trashing him.

In reality I really enjoy watching skilled big men. David Robinson is the model big man to me.

I need help in picking the right team I can play a David Robinson type role and I need help in figuring out how to do this properly.

It always seems I end up being forced to play some weird hybrid type of Dirk and Blake player that turns out to never be fun for me.

I also thought the Pelicans would be a great choice because of Davis and the possibilities of being twin towers there but it felt like I was fighting against my own teammates than working with them.

Any input from you guys on how to approach this would be welcomed.

                Thanks in advance.

I play for the Pelicans on my center career and it's fantastic. Jrue Holiday can be frustrating as hell especially after the new patch because his contested jumper tendency is like 80. But Eric Gordon has no problems feeding the post and if you set a good screen for norris cole the chances are he'll score from it. We have 6 players in our team averaging double digit points including myself in my rookie season. I recommend them. Could try the Magic too but I imagine Vucevic would be hard to replace.

How does AD play for you? My C on the Pelicans.. AD is just there. Doesn't play good/great defense, most games shoots sub 40%

He's inconsistent, some games he'll score 20 and get 10 boards and the next he'll foul out with 5 points and a rebound. He's injured though so for pretty much the entire my career I have with this center, AD is ruined.

Was wondering what team would be a fun team to go to as a SG in the offseason. I would like a team
                        - without a real offensive superstar (a player who doesnt average around 20 ppg)
                        - along with good rebounding big men.
                        - And lastly a team that is not a top team in 2k (Thunder, Cavs, ect..)
I know its a lot of parameters, but I appreciate the help! thanks guys!

Yeah I was hoping to create a 'Twin Towers' type of crazy inside defense when I made a Center.. didn't work out. I focus on defense and only score on Alley Oops(which I don't call for) and put backs, try to feed him the ball as much as possible

Try New Orleans, I'm a SG with them and AD is not a real superstar for them. I wish I can get AD and My Center to play well and get rebound for me. I'm in my 2 year and I'm almost the guys with my status up to 80 right now.

76ers. Noel and Embiid will average 25 rebounds between them but neither will score big points and other than those two, they're sort of meh. Good place to go and just fill it up.
