Lost 106-75 to the Bulls.. knew it wouldn't be pretty but all the missed layups are driving me nuts.. 4 of 16 shooting.... 2 missed jumpers the rest layups.. 5 offensive boards 0 put-backs off the rebounds.. 6'5 guy missing wide open 3 footers.. shouldn't even be playing in the D-league

So going to the gym with Corey Brewer to 'get some reps'.. after 2 games where I easily missed 15, maybe 20 LAYUPS.. I get a 30 second practice.. like that will really make my SG make those layups

I'm hating the way they don't START running the offense until there's 10 seconds left on the shot clock.. that makes most shots forced in a hurry

You move too much with the slightest press of the stick, gotta be so much more careful or the guy you're defending will blow by you in an instance it seems.

I've had some real trouble getting my player to contest shots of people I am not assigned to either, maybe I need to get my help defense IQ up? I go and push right stick towards them but it never does anything.

I use the 2k camera - what I do that seems to be working is to align my body so it is off-center of the guy that I'm guarding. Then when he begins his shooting motion I contest by going straight up (if I jump contest) otherwise I just hold my arms up. I don't use the intense-d contesting animations - they seem too sensitive this year. I never push the sticks towards them just straight up or backwards to create a bigger shooting arc.

I don't always succeed - James Harden lit me up like I was a sparkler but I seem to be doing very well. I've been concentrating on playing defense since 2k12 every year. They took out a few of my stand-by cheese things again this year but they missed a couple too. We'll see what it is like once I start getting my skill-sets up.

Question for anyone who's played in the park with their player, can you play defense on people or is it kind of a crap shoot like last year when it comes to staying front of someone?

The two games I managed to play.. Park is so laggy it's hard to even make it work from 'got next'.. it seems like you can play defense and slow people down.. spamming steals doesn't work.. at least doesn't seem to .. nobody stole the ball from me in the 2 games .. it also took 20 minutes to get ONE game thanks to lag

my tats are never on my player when i start the game but when i go back to the store they say they are equipped...

Finally managed to get a win after the 11 game losing streak.. my SG still missed layup after layup..and they were easy ones.. I might have to turn him into a jump shooter.. though standing layup is at 76 and regular layup is at 74

5 of 16 shooting for me.. haven't missed at the line in a few games though.. I guess when I get an offensive board (3-4 a game) I'll just dribble out..

Thought for sure we'd lose.. I got a steal with the game tied at 85.. Wiggins on a fast break missed.. got a rebound..and missed again.. got the rebound and turned the ball over.. somehow I knocked the ball away in the defensive court again and Rubio of all people made THAT fast break.

Another meeting with the high school coach..

Agent wants me to start doing pre-game rituals???? Is that 2K's way of stealing coins from me? Forget that.. I'm picking one of the FREE ones..

I was just going to ask if metric stats were available this year.. they were hidding in the NBA.COM section of the game last year.. you had to find them by accident in a team's news..

Found the metric stats in player stats with Y's.. first to view what you'd have per 36 minutes then the next is 'advanced'.. aka metrics .. in case anyone wonders

Alright, now you guys aren't going to believe me, but my Knicks just beat the Spurs by 10 and everybody played great.. Crazy I know. I really made sure I worked the ball around and tried to settle into my role as a distributor first, scoring option second and it working great. We had 5 guys in double figures, Stoudemire and Dalmbert both had point-rebound double doubles and everything just fell into place. I finished with 25/8/11 for what I think is my best game ever and that includes 4 triple doubles and 2 40 point games.

The Spurs weren't some super team, they made plenty of mistakes and missed some shots when we played solid D. Tony Parker and Manu both made some pretty contested shots, but it wasn't too bothersome in the long run.

Maybe MyCareer isn't a total loss gameplay wise this year. We can only hope.

So I finally tried HOF with casual sliders and sim sliders I'd say sim your teammates help out more and casual you'll be able to score more efficiently tried it with a 7'0 SF

Just got the game. Started a 6'6 SF (I always play a PF or SG, first time doing anything else). Tried out with the Raptors as they were 99% and only required a D+. I've only played the first 3 games of the 10 day. Played terrible in the first two. Then all the sudden in the 3rd we blow the Nets out and I end up playing the entire second half. And end up with inflated stats. Now every teams interest in me is 50% or higher. Top two teams are at 82%. Felt scripted.

I'm thinking the next game is going to be hard as gator balls.

Anyone not get picked up after their 10 day? Is that even possible?

Anyone playing on superstar/sim? I'm running the point for the Hornets and my god it is terrible. They RARELY hit WIDE open shots. The CPU makes a large majority of their shots wide open. Or for some reason multiple hands in their face or if they really want to cheese, go baseline and shoot a dumb shot that ends up going in. Why 2k?!!

The CPU is straight up taking points away now. This happened in the 4th quarter of a close game.
