I miss easy layups, tried another game going for more jump shots, missed wide open 3s and mid jumpers, B-, slighly early releases, Seems like only perfect release goes in. And I get those like one in a game.

      Anyone got any tips?

Playing as PG, Hall of fame simulation.
Play on all-star at default. Even then the game is borderline not fun with how difficult things are if you haven't completely upgraded your player.

I must say, I was skeptical at first of the A.I. in this mode. I played a few more games last night and we won all 3, not really blow outs but just good games in general.

One of them we were down by as much as 20 and I figured we would lose. I made a few big defensive stops and it sparked a huge offensive run to get us back in the game...awesome moment and we ended up winning.

Your teammates get better as you play and progress so stick with it. Once you get better on defense and play your man and cover the floor better, your teammates seem to feed off that energy which is great. I'm playing on Superstar Sim btw, loving it. I'm on the Hornets and we are in 3rd place in the East with about 19 games left so we will definitely make the playoffs. I'm pumped!

For those that have made it to the second year, when Doc joins you does he do it just because he wants to coach you? Or is it just a coincidence that you ended up on the same team?

I really don't want him to leave the Clippers just to coach me, I'm a 65 overall averaging 7 and 7 LOL. Not very realistic to leave them for us.

I can't think of a logical reason Doc would leave the Clippers if they finish 1st and have a deep playoff run. So to keep it realistic I'm trying to think of a team he might leave them for, they have to be a playoff team, preferably a contender and he needs to have some sort of connection so... I'm thinking Atlanta or New York, he played for both.

I'm currently on Orlando and although we have the worst record in the league, Docs coaching career did start in Orlando, so that would make some sort of sense... maybe.
I was on the Pelicans and he left the Clippers to coach the Lakers for me. 5 games before the season ended, Monty Williams was fired and apparently Byron Scott was as well since he took over the Pelicans job. Then I chose the Lakers as my first choice in free agency and they signed me with him as the coach. I looked at who the head coach of the Clippers was and it was Monty Williams.

lol, so does he actually say he came to the team because he wanted to coach you or is it just done as if it's a coincidence?

Well, after scrapping on two 10 day deals, and clawing our way through, we are finally listed as the 8th seed. We beat the Blazers 66-64 in regulation. I posted 27-4-5. It is a 3-way tie with our Wolves, Denver, and Houston. 4 games left to finish it off!

Re: NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread

I'm about to lose my mind right now. As I've said before, I play for the Bucks. I go into most of my games expecting a loss. It's tough playing games when you're consistently getting blown out by 30+ points, but I wanted to bear through the pain because I knew Jabari, Giannis and I could revive the Bucks. I just had to think about the future when we'd be good enough to win games, to go to the playoffs, to even win a championship.

Well I just played the Thunder where KD dropped his career high of 55 points on us, effectively maintaining a forty point lead from about the third quarter onward. But at the end of the game, I see a cut-scene where Kendall Marshall is telling me someone got traded. I can't even begin to describe how shocked I am when I see that its Giannis leaving the locker room. And in case you don't believe me, here's the news feed.

Forgive me, but I'm about to start a rant because I've been putting up with blowouts all this week, just for this to top it all off. Let me get one thing straight. The Bucks are a franchise who when from 8th seed in the playoffs two years ago, to the worst team in the league just last season. Fortunately they've drafted well and found two players who have high ceilings that can hopefully make the franchise relevant again. Those two players are Jabari and Giannis.

I played two seasons with the Bucks, and Giannis didn't get many minutes in the first season. But he built on his rookie season anyway. In season 2, he cracked the starting line up and continued improving despite the fact that we just had him camping in the corners on offense. He continued to show improvement across the board, so you would think that the GM would say, let's see just how far he takes his game before I decide what to do with him. But noooo...let's just take a giant dump on his hard work for this organization, and trade him away.

So what would make the game decide that its appropriate to TRADE away Giannis. How does that make any sense at all? Shouldn't there be some sort of programming that makes a GM say that player X & Y are untouchable because I want to see how they develop. 2K said they had been working on team building AI, but it looks like that never made it to MyCareer, because guess what we got in return for Giannis. This BUM!!

This is unacceptable! Yes the fact that Giannis got traded irks me, but we don't know if he'll be a bust, or a huge success in real life. My biggest issues though is what traded him for. All of the hype around Giannis should have inflated his value. I tried to tell myself that if we traded Giannis, we must have gotten someone good in return. Nope. We picked up some generated garbage that doesn't even get minutes in our rotation which is pretty awful already. I immediately demanded a trade and left Milwaukee.

Believe me, I'm trying to enjoy this mode, but a trade like this just turned me off. My whole plan was to form a big three with Jabari and Giannis, but its like 2k took a giant red stamp that said 'SCREW YOU' and dropped it on my SG. I don't really have a plan now, I might make a big man or something...

Do people run plays or just free lancing and some pick and rolls?

Very few plays work out for me. It gets kinda of boring and one dimentional running PnR all the time to be able to score/get assists.

Why don't you lower the difficulty or practice a bit more, I'm being serious...not trying to be a jerk.

I play on Superstar Sim and have never once come close to losing by 40. Most I lost by was 13 or so. On a 3 game winning streak right now, about to make it 4.

Don't worry about sounding like a jerk, sometimes someone just needs to hear some real talk and I guess this is when I needed to hear it. Anyway I'm just at the point where every bit of VC counts, so I'm trying to get as much of it as I can.

And I practice a lot, especially since I can't seem to get the new shot meter down yet. But you know, I might as well just tone down the difficulty and see if that helps although as I said, I can take the losing. It was just this one trade that sent me over the edge.

If this helps, I'm going to give you a thanks in advance.

Cool man let me know. I had some problems at first, but once I got the new defensive movement and mechanics down, I've improved greatly.

Plus, if you play great on a lower difficulty you'll probably get the same or similar amount of VC if you played bad on a higher difficulty.

Something I've noticed: The A.I. definitely isn't the most realistic at times, however some of it seems very life-like. I can almost guarantee you that if you and your team start to play better and get a win or two under your belt, your teammate chemistry will boost, you'll get more confidence, and everything will improve.

I just finished my most beloved 2k game I've played to date. My SF is on the Toronto team and we were playing the Spurs.

                              1st Quarter Score: 19 - 31 Spurs on top.
Score at the Half : 40 - 50 Spurs still blowing us out.
                              3rd Quarter Score: 69 - 73 Raptors take the lead after a 15-3 run.
Score at the End : 90 - 95 Raptors hold on to the lead - winning at last.

The best thing about this game was the whole team was involved (I scored 10 points with 7 rebounds) and it was a group effort with all the players involved contributing.

Can someone tell me where in game, it shows your player's shot fatigue?

I'm a pass first pg, but the way this game is right now, it makes you take shots to just stay competitive.

I'm still averaging close to 10 assists per game on HOF diff 12 min, so I still go out of my way to get my teammates touches,

                                but

I want to make sure that my guy's shot isn't tired come 4th quarter when I want to take over.
