Pistons won't be trading any 1st round picks for the foreseeable future with not having Monroe locked down.

Re: NBA 2K15 Trade Discussion Thread
I started up a pels franchise last night to see if I could find any real matches for Gordon. It was surprising to me just how few horrid contracts in the league extend past this offseason. Gordon and Smith might be the two worst in the league. A few other less realistic possibilities for dumping Gordon:
LAL for Nash/EllingtonLakers can still get close to max cap space with Gordon's contract on the books for next year and take a shot at rehabbing him. But they'd have no room to do anything else.NYK for Andrea Bargnani
Same here, with Stoudamire coming off the books they can fit close to a max FA and give Gordon a shot at being the LAC Gordon.TOR for Landry Fields/Chuck Hayes
Doesn't really make any sense as he'd be the 5th guard behind Lowry/Derozan/Vazquez/Lou Williams. But the salaries match and even as a 5th guard Gordon would be more slightly more valuable than what they're offloading. The commitment next year would kill the deal IRL.PHI for Jason Richardson
PHI takes a shot on talent and gets them up to the salary floor. They'd still have more than enough room to sign a max FA this summer. Probably the most realistic option here as it costs Philly zero given how far below the salary floor they are this year and next year.BOS for Wallace/Bass
Since Wallace is probably the 3rd worst contract after Gordon/Smith this is doable even though the Celts don't have a real need for Gordon. Slightly affects their flexibility this coming offseason and they're giving up the best player in the deal in Bass.BRO for Kevin Garnett
The Nets are desperate for a future and Gordon has a slightly brighter future than Garnett. Wouldn't happen unless the Nets are sub .400 at the deadline, which they often are in game.

I don't think they'd actually be interested in it, regardless of the Rondo connection, but it's your franchise so have fun with it.

If the Pacers blew it up they'd be ditching players like West, Hibbert, Hill, Scola.Last edited by OldHossRadbourn; 11-21-2014, 04:29 PM.Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 Trade Discussion Thread
The only reason to do it is to dump Gordon's salary from next year's ledger. Of all those guys only Wallace (one year at a slightly reduced figure) or Josh Smith (two more expensive years) would have any commitment going forward.Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 Trade Discussion Thread
Playing as the Bucks I want to get rid of Ersan Ilyasova and Jared Dudley ASAP. I'd like to get whatever I can for Dudley and get a decent return for Ilyasova, nothing crazy just maybe a young guy I can mold into something decent + a 2nd rounder if possible. Where would be good places to send these 2. I Know Houston is an ok spot for Ersan.
Also I'm still deciding whether or not to move Mayo depending on how well I'm doing when I hit the break. I think the best 2 spots I could move him to just off the top of my head are Chicago and OKC. I'm just not sure what I could get for him (I'm usually pretty good with mayo so he will most likely be playing well.) If I were to send him to OKC I'd be willing to take on Perkins contract if I was getting something good back.| Brewers | Packers | Angels | Bucks | Badgers |Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 Trade Discussion Thread
I'm trying to create a ''realistic'' trade where I get rid of Kobe, for a player of worth.
I don't have qualms with trading anyone, even Randle can get traded for all I care. I just want to have an interesting narrative where Kobe gets traded for a younger elite player.
Right now my best effort has been this... But it leaves me a bit, dissapointed.
Lakers trade Kobe/Randle/Clarkson
Bulls trade Rose/DunleavyComment

Lakers Get - Amare Stoudemire, J.R. Smith, Cleanthony Early, Knicks 2015 1st
Knicks Get - Kobe Bryant, Carlos Boozer,
That may work but still highly unlikely to move Kobe (Also has a no trade clause, he makes the call)NewYork Mets | NewYork Knicks | NewYork "Football" Giants

Re: NBA 2K15 Trade Discussion Thread
I know trading Kobe isn't realistic in the first place. But I personally feel like I want to play a Lakers game where Kobe isn't around. And I'm prepared to make a big drop in replacement skill to make it happen.
I agree that D-Rose is too good of a deal for the Lakers, despite Chicago getting two high-Pot players and Kobe. But I feel that there should be a 80+ u30 player trade that isn't ridiculous, but still gives LAL a player of some repute to rebuild upon.
Again, I know Kobe is good, and that's not really my issue. I just want to have a narrative where Kobe for some ungodly reason got traded, and the Lakers go into full rebuild mode.Comment

So...
Chicago (for Butler?). You could sell this as him wanting another run at a title, plus the familiarity of playing with Pau again and the whole Jordan vs Kobe thing. Also Chicago are pretty much built for a guy like Kobe, they're an elite defensive team that can cover for him on that end since he's such a liability defensively at his old age.
New York? (For Hardaway JR) reunited with Phil. Teaming up with Melo for his first ring and probably Kobes last.
Toronto (for DeRozan) I have no idea how to sell this, it's a good deal for you though.
I can't really see him being traded to any Western Conference teams. Too much history. Maybe Oklahoma? No idea who for or how you sell that.
Honestly, Kobe being traded will never seem realistic. He's a lifer. But if you absolutely have to do it, I think you would be best going for the Chicago deal, give them a pick and take a big contract in return to make it work financially. No idea what else you could do that has even the most remote amount of logic attached to it.Comment
