Re: NBA 2K15 Trade Discussion Thread

Season 2 of my Lakers myLeague.

    Lakers receive: Kemba Walker

Hornets Receive: Rajon Rondo (Just signed in the off-season)
    Andrew Harrison (Just drafted)

I decided to make this trade because I wanted a PG who could score, and even though I signed Rondo to a big money deal, it's tough for him to make shots.

I'm thinking of a deal that would bring DeAndre to the Nuggets, I know it's unlikely, but here I go:

First, I send JaVale, a 2016 1st (Knicks and which I think will be a top ten pick) and Nurkic for Pekovic and Shabazz.

Then, I send Pek and Wilson Chandler for DeAndre and a filler to make contracts work.

        What do you think?

Would just JaVale and the 2016 1st be enough for Pekovic?

So what do you think would be the best option to do with bass? Really was looking to get a late 1st/early 2nd or just keep him. Understanding he may not have that kind of value.

You can't, we use them to be realistic in our trades so that they somewhat reflect real life.

Definitely going to explore some trade options tonight.

I have Trey Burke, Enes Kanter, and Rudy Gobert who I could possibly move. I'd really like to move Kanter as he's on a 1-year deal for like $7M.

What is the value of somebody like Kanter? He's currently my bench PF/C who comes in and gets 20 minutes per game. He's solid but I would rather have Gobert come in and be a defensive presence, which is what Kanter lacks.

Someone suggested editing the contracts of the players to reflect the trade exceptions and then edit them back after the trade is made.

Bass has decent value for 1) contending teams that are looking for PF depth and 2) teams that are looking to shed future salary for an expiring contract.

With that said, I think a late first round pick could be possible if he's going to the right team/situation. After thinking about it more the Denver trade really isn't that bad. Assuming that they're out of contention, then it would make sense for them to go ahead and dump Mozgov for picks. Although, I think the need a little more, maybe a second round pick from some where.

There isn't one, however if you're playing MyLeague there's two workarounds.

The hard way - Editing players salaries to match up, then changing them back once they're on the correct team

                    or

The easy way - Going into MyLeague options and toggling the salary cap rules to off, moving the players to the correct teams, then turning them back on.

I'm assuming that your plan is to basically tank the first season, so I don't know if you would want anything other than picks and/or another expiring contract in return.

I think he could draw a mid-to-late first and maybe a future 2nd from a team that's looking for some depth or has an injury. He's still really young, so although he's in a similar position to Bass, he has more value.

I would be interested to see what kind of offers do you get for Kanter on Trade Finder? I mean, I don't use TF as the "end all, be all" (frankly some of the trades are terrible), but sometimes I check it out just to see what's out there.

"Solid off the bench" describes him to a tee in 2k. In my experience, Kanter is always pushing against the 2nd tier ceiling - so if I were an opposing GM, in normal conditions, I'd offer a like-tiered player.

You can target a playoff level team with specific big injuries (eg Golden State) that might be looking for solid minutes without injuries for a little more but Kanter never seems to max his potential out so, I'd not be giving up much more.

Actually already wrapped up season 1 finishing 7-22 and had the #2 pick (Karl-Anthony Towns).

I'm kinda just fishing right now for ideas. Quite honestly I don't know how much I could really improve my lineup. I would have to shake things up a good bit.

Kanter is my backup big man behind Favors/Towns right now. I feel like I might need to just stand pat where I'm at and actually give my starters less minutes and work in Gobert and go with a two-unit rotation.

I'm at the beginning of the first season with the Nuggets and want to explore some trade options, right now im considering to move Danilo Gallinari.
The Pelicans offered me Tyreke Evans and thier 1st round Draftpick for him and the NY 1st round pick that the Nuggets own.

What do you guys think of that trade, I'm fine with it just I obviously don't rip off the CPU.

We all know the Knicks are a hard turnaround but now it's time to clean up. Fired the whole front office except Chief Financial Adviser. Currently 4-4, which is a god send compared to real life.

Looking to start a MyLeague with either the 76ers or Timberwolves.

The only trades I'd like to make would be to get either Wiggins or Embiid onto my team depending which team I choose, so I have both Wiggins and Embiid on my team.

From your perspective, would it be easier to get Embiid by trading players/picks from the T'Wolves. Or trade for Wiggins by trading picks/players from the 76ers?

If I was the T'Wolves anyone is game except Wiggins, and if 76ers anyone is game to trade minus Embiid.

Any thoughts? Obviously not looking at realism because neither of these are tradeable in real life, just want to be fair to the CPU.
