For those of you who like to keep things authentic, KD went with his broken-in pair of KD6 for his first game of the season.

Makes you wonder, though.. Why go with last years signature line when you just signed a new contract, and you have a nice pair of KD7s out in the wild, which a few players are wearing too.

I don't want to speculate, but does this say something about the KD7s?

Anyway, I'm about to jump in game and make these.

Well, he's coming off a foot injury. It may have been suggested he wear a pair he's used to and has been game tested thoroughly.
