If you go digital now you'll have to download 47GB before midnight EST to play

Yeah my internet connection should be able to handle that. I just bought the digital version and its already downloading. Just hope that I can play it early. If so, it would make it worth it.

So...is the rest of the game's 43 GB going to download in the background or will we actually have to wait to launch the game at midnight to download the rest?

Asking because I want to know whether or not to leave the console on standby before I leave the house today.

I turned my console off by mistake last night with 43/47gb, and when I woke up this morning to turn it back on to finish, it was completed. I dont believe you have to leave it in standby

yes you're central. If you press the options button on nba 2k15, and go to information, you will see that the valid period starts @ 11 pm

Even when first playing the game has to dl more so all you'll get Is a game sas vs mia with no audio just music playing until that dl finishes in the background. No idea if there is a way you can monitor the dl. I didn't see any kind of progress indicator

I think that is just the disc based game though. The game installs the first file to let you play and then gets the rest in the background. For digital peeps, all of this should be in once you get all 47GB though right? We should be able to play the full version right at 12pm EST

I believe we still have 6 gigs to install once the game unlocks

Oh man that sucks. I hope it doesn't go at a snails pace since I'm assuming everybody is going to be trying to download at the same time. I dont understand why the full game isn't made ready to go right at 12:01 EST

that's why it would be a good idea to get on and start downloading right around 11

look at the bright side, we'll have an hour + 47gig jump on the people getting it at midnight haha

it's still downloading.

I thought mine had stopped at 36gigs. was there for like 30 mins but then jumped to like 39 instantly.

i wouldn't worry too much about it. It'll be ready to go at 11 for the rest of the 6 gigs

Give it some more time. Mines stopped at 44/47 last night and it was their for awhile i felt like starting over but eventually it kept going. It gets slower the closer you get.
